Song of the Chapter: Sweater Weather - The Neighbourhood.

New Text Message From: Ash.
Day One. Wear something casual, but warm, as it may get cold when you're flying through the air ;) I'll pick you up in an hour, be ready. Love you. X

I smiled and rolled over onto the left side of the bed. It was early, but still too late to be in bed. I loved the way Ashton had gone home late and then thought about what we could do today, it demonstrated to me how much he cared. I know it bothered him that I had to leave, but I liked how he tried to move past that and focus on the last days we have together. After about 5 minutes, I slowly crawled out of my warm bed and walked to my wardrobe. Something casual, but warm. I had no idea what I was doing today, and that's just how he wanted it. Surprises were my favourite thing, and having a full week of them, kinda made me happy. I picked out a loose white vest top, that would tuck into my high-waisted denim shorts. To keep myself warm, I wore a cute flannel shirt and to prevent my bra coming out, I put on a bandeau top. As soon as I was dressed, I pulled my hair into a ponytail, it was messy but it would do. To keep everything casual, I wore converse and very little makeup. I pulled my phone off charge and ran downstairs. Grandma was sitting in the kitchen with Brad. I rolled my eyes at the sight of my grandma and walked straight to the cupboard. I grabbed a bowl and some cereal. I wasn't really hungry, but as the doctor advised, I needed to keep my appetite up. When I walked to the fridge, to get some milk, Brad smiled at me. I smiled back and poured the milk into my cereal.

"Where are you off to today?" The voice of my grandma made me slam the milk back into the fridge. I looked out the window, where the pool and garden was based and started eating my cereal.

"I'm going out with Ashton." I replied. Brad placed his bowl into the dishwasher and looked at me. It was his way of calming me down.

"We are all going, today." Brad informed me. I just nodded and grinned. That made me happy to think that, Ashton was thinking of all the people that I would miss when I'm gone, as well as himself.

"Well, be careful." Grandma stood up and walked around the kitchen, picking up rubbish that was on the floor. This place had magically turned into a shit hole. I rolled my eyes.

"What, so I don't get pregnant again? Oh wait, we wouldn't want you wasting more money on getting me out of here." I snapped. Brad slowly disappeared into the living room and I'd hoped Grandma had too, but when I turned around, she was still there.

"You applied to London! You got accepted!" She exclaimed, throwing her hands above her heads. I glared at her, before turning back around.

"Still gives you no reason to buy me out of the continent." I yelled to the window. She huffed and started to pace the room. I saw her reflection in the window.

"It gives me every reason. You get pregnant under my roof, you deal with the consequences." Grandma shouted back. I squeezed my eyes shut. I wasn't hungry anymore. I threw my cereal in the bin and placed my bowl into the dishwasher.

"For gods sake!" I started, "You are not my mother and you never will be." Grandma rolled her eyes and I saw Brad peak from her.

"Grandma, I'm sorry... but don't you think you are being a little harsh. You're punishing her enough, just leave her be. She has to spend as much time as she can with us because of you, yet you're wasting it." Brad gritted his teeth. He tried to be nice but I was told different by her face. "Come on, Brooke... I believe Ashton's outside." I grabbed my phone off the counter and walked past her, without a word. I swear she wanted to ruin everything about me. I followed Brad out the house and spotted Ashton's truck.
