Song of the Chapter: Jealous - Beyoncé.

Ashton decided having a party in my house was a great idea for his late birthday summer thing. Since we had a pool, it was perfect for his "pool party" request. It was afternoon and my idea of a Tuesday was not this. I was gathering up alcohol on the kitchen island while Brad heated the pool. My grandma loved the idea of a party, Jeff? Not so much. They were away for an anniversary and it put Jeff at stress knowing we were partying back home. For me, hosting a party was a big deal, for Brad, it was like another normal day. Ashton and I had stuck to our plan of being friends so far but this party wasn't good for us, deep down we both knew it. Brad jumped into the kitchen.

"Maybe it's time you got ready, people arrive at 8.30." Brad suggested, sneakily.

"Brad, it's 3. I'm not getting ready until 5. If you want to sneak Ana in just say. But keep the door shut this time, I hear it all." I mentally gagged and he chuckled. Ana peaked round the corner. I smiled and she ran to me, hugging me tight.

"How does it feel throwing your first party?" Ana pulled back and leaned against the island with me.

"Good, I'm excited to see it go down." I chuckled.

"Pressures on girl, first party of the summer has to be the best!" She clapped and I nodded. I took out more alcohol from the fridge and added it to the collection.

"Well you two be useful." I watched them walk upstairs and sighed. What else was there. I walked outside and opened up the summer house. A few lights were hung, I checked they worked before adjusting the seats slowly.

"Is someone nervous?" Ashton peaked around the corner of the house causing me to jump. I held my chest and came out of the summer house.

"A little. I mean throwing Mr Irwin a party means I must live up to standards." I chuckled.

"I like it when you call me that." Ashton flirted and I rolled my eyes. I started lighting up some candles and placed them in the pool, Ashton joined me. "You are going all out, aren't you?" I took some neon ball nights and placed them in, also.

"Of course Mr Irwin." I smirked and he laughed nudged me.

I was ready for 8.15. My hair was curled and I had a flower crown over my head, just like Ana and Cassie. I had a peterpan collar play suit on. My shoes were heels and my makeup was thinly applied. Me and the girls weren't in the pool tonight so we decided to dress it up. Ana and Cassie were wearing similar. It wasn't until 8.50 until the house was covered with people. Music thumped through the house and out onto the garden. Everyone had drinks in their hands. I poured myself one before taking myself outside. I noticed Ashton sitting on the side of the pool with Vanessa. I shrugged it off. Just friends, Brooke. Calum stopped me and pulled me down to the sun bed next to him.

"You look incredible." Calum complimented. I took a bow and he grinned.

"You're looking good too, Calum. I'm loving the boots, they give it the 'I'm a cool dude but I can afford boots' look." I joked and he cheered.

"Exactly the look I was going for, how did you know?" He messed. I giggled and took a sip of my drink. It was practically gone. Geez, I needed to slow down.

"Do you want another drink?" I asked over the loud music.

"Sure. But I'll get them." Calum misheard me as he took my cup. I waited on his return by looking around. Ashton's eyes were locked on me as Vanessa's hand fell onto his chest. I looked away and sighed. "Here." Calum passed me my full cup and I took another sip, letting the alcohol burn my throat.
