Song of the Chapter: Everything I Didn't Say - 5 Seconds of Summer.

The first two days of the trip to L.A. we just explored our surroundings. Brad had rented a little house outside of the town we use to live in. It looked expensive to say the least. I missed Ashton, but we called each other every night and I knew he was having so much fun doing the gigs. Tonight was the night we were going to the local bar. Which also meant karaoke. It's stupid, but I made a promise and that frightened me.

I changed into skin tight jeans, a white Bold t-shirt. I had patterned jacket over the top. I accessorised with a statement necklace and plain diamond studs as earrings. I threw my hair into a bun and winged my eyeliner. We had to look good for tonight as it was a meal as well as a karaoke. I walked out of my empty room and stumbled down the stairs. This house was stunning. I heard Brad on the phone and he stopped talking when his eyes dropped on mine.

"Oh Brooke, it's Ashton on the phone." Brad quickly handed me his phone. Why was Ashton talking to Brad? During the day, Ashton didn't call. I took Brads phone.

"Hey, how come you didn't ring my phone?" I pulled out my own phone and he chuckled through the phone, I could tell he was nervous.

"I'm, well I tried to ring you, it went straight to voicemail." I looked down at my phone and could see clearly I was getting messages and I had service. Something was up.

"Oh well that's strange, why'd you call anyway?" I laughed and I could tell Ashton frowned.

"Do you not want to talk to me?" He joked, "No, I'm just nervous about tonight's show." Ashton sighed and I walked outside to where it was quiet.

"Ashton Irwin is nervous? Now I never thought I'd see the day." I smirked. Ashton laughed and I could almost feel him roll his eyes.

"No tonight, something's different. It's more intimate tonight, smaller crowd, more important people. Important to me." Ashton's tone of voice was low. I sighed.

"Ashton your going to be incredible. You always are, no matter who it's in front of." I smiled. "Who are the important people anyway?"

"You know, record labels. Management. People. Important people." Ashton explained. I nodded.

"Well good luck." I wished I could be there with him and it pained me heading his voice, but not seeing his face.

"And I think a good luck is order for you too." Ashton cooed. I sighed. I didn't want to sing tonight. But it was for gran. She would of wanted this.

"Yeah I guess so."

"Hey don't seem so scared, you're going to knock them dead, even if it is a karaoke." Ashton sarcastically laughed.

We decided to walk to the bar, even though it was freezing cold. Me and Cassie walked together, whilst Ana and Brad walked ahead. Cassie and I linked arms and continued to giggle at little comments.

"Do you believe your gran can see us now, Brooke?" Cassie smiled and I looked at her, nodding.

"Of course, I think she's everywhere. You know.." I smiled back and she walked a little faster.

"I believe she's become apart of you in someway. I reckon, her flame died inside of her, but ignited in you." Cassie suggested. I thought about it. Apart of me believed that and apart of me didn't think that was possible.

"That's a nice way to think of it Cass, whenever I'm upset, I'll think of that." Cassie was pleased with my reply and we continued to make small talk as we approached the bar. I remember the first time, seeing this place.
