Their faces were too close. She could feel it—the shift in the air, the weight of his presence pressing against her senses. Was he focusing on her lips?

She wasn't sure why, but her eyes flickered down to his. His lips were right there, so damn close, rosy and tempting. But just as she braced herself for whatever was about to happen—he stopped.

Her breath caught.

"Was I worried, you say?" His voice was low, almost teasing. The warmth of it brushed against her skin.

Then, in an instant—

"Of course not! You're a curse after all."

His tone snapped back to casual arrogance, and before she could react, he plucked a tiny green leaf from her hair and flicked it away like an afterthought.

The playful grin was back.

Y/N blinked, feeling a rush of heat crawl up her neck. She clenched her fists, absolutely furious at herself for freezing up. Why the hell did I just—

"You're lying!" she snapped, trying to regain her composure. "Otherwise, you wouldn't have been mad!"

Gojo stretched lazily, unbothered.

"And I told you to stop calling me that," she added, her voice quieter this time.

Being called a curse—it made her stomach twist, especially after what she had felt that morning. The weight of that aura. That terrifying, crushing force that had been coming for her.

She hated the idea of being anything like that.

"Ah, sorry, the truth always hurts," Gojo mused, a smirk playing on his lips.

She knew he was doing it on purpose. He knew it pissed her off, and yet he kept pushing, like a child poking a bear just to see what would happen.

Y/N inhaled sharply. Do not strangle him. Do not strangle him.

"I saved someone today," she shot back. "That truth doesn't hurt at all."

Gojo's smirk widened.

"Did you, now?"

His voice had shifted slightly—less teasing, more intrigued. Finally, he was actually listening. The tension between them eased just a little.

"So," he leaned in slightly. "Tell me what exactly happened."

She straightened. "Well, you said I can feel a cursed spirit from three miles away, but this one was way further and way stronger. That's why I ran, despite its crazy speed. Then... I got lost coming back," she admitted, shrugging.

Gojo didn't immediately respond.

Instead, he tilted his head slightly. "This place isn't safe anymore..."

His voice wasn't playful now. He was actually assessing the situation. She watched as he scanned her quickly, his expression unreadable behind the blindfold.

"Did you hurt yourself?" he asked.

She shook her head, just the slightest movement, but it was enough.

He was worried.

"Of course not!" she grinned. "I'm a hero, remember?"

Gojo snorted. "Good for you."

Then, his voice took on a sudden excitement. "I bought you a phone and a ton of clothes! Wanna check them out? It's all in your room."

She barely had time to react before he was already standing up, waiting for her to follow.
