Gojo stood in the center of the dimly lit room, surrounded by the silhouettes of the higher-ups. Their faces were hidden, but their voices carried the weight of their arrogance.
"Y/N L/N will join Tokyo Jujutsu Tech," Gojo declared, his tone leaving no room for argument. "She'll be a valuable asset as a strong afypnoso."
The response was immediate chaos.
"Impossible!"
"It can't be true!"
"Afypnistés cannot be allies with sorcerers!"
"It would be a great opportunity to study one up close."
"We don't need a lab rat. They're worse than curses."
"Execute it immediately!"
"Yes, that's the only logical decision."
A single voice cut through the noise—low, sharp, dripping with disdain. "Can it control its power?"
Gojo smirked. "Yes, to the point of exorcising a special grade on her first mission. It was estimated as semi-first class, though—like when my three students were left on the brink of death because of your little 'miscalculations.'"
Muffled protests and indignant murmurs filled the room, but not a single denial.
"We weren't even aware of its existence. How dare you accuse us?"
Gojo pulled Sukuna's finger from his pocket, casually tossing it into the air and catching it. "Who said I was accusing you? Consider this a warning. If anything like this happens again, I can't promise I'll be as well-behaved."
The tension thickened. Someone finally spoke, their voice devoid of amusement. "You are not in the position to give warnings. You are, however, in the position to take responsibility. Should the afypnoso lose control, you will be held accountable."
Gojo tossed the finger again, then destroyed it mid-air before letting the remains fall back into his hand. "Well, Yuji eats these for breakfast, and he's doing fine. Afypnoso or Sukuna's vessel, it doesn't make much difference to me. After all, I'm the strongest. Isn't that assurance enough?"
He turned to leave, pushing the door open without hesitation.
"If either of them loses control, both will be executed," the voice called after him.
Gojo didn't even turn around. "Then I'll be the one to do it."
Caffeine and Curses: Gojo Meets Nanami
Nanami checked his watch, sighing as Gojo finally slid into the seat across from him. "Thirty minutes late."
Gojo ignored the jab, too drained to throw back his usual nonsense. He exhaled, rubbing his temples.
Nanami took a sip of his coffee. "Her first mission?"
"Special grade." Gojo leaned back, legs crossed. "Executed it. Got injured. Stable now."
Nanami raised an eyebrow. "Executing a high-grade spirit on her first mission is impressive. Lucky she's on our side."
Gojo tapped a finger against the table. "It was estimated as semi-first grade. She could be dead right now."
A waiter approached, but Gojo waved him off. No appetite.
"Not a coincidence, then." Nanami adjusted his tie. "Other than us, who knew about her?"
"Shiro clan." Gojo's tone darkened. "They know about the jujutsu world. Hell, they finance it. They wouldn't put their own daughter in danger, but that doesn't mean every member is loyal."
