The Mayor's

CHAPTER 2

"Oh My God!" Halos maalog ang buong pagkatao ko dahil sa pagyugyog sa akin ni Gwen, my hyper bestfriend. Pilit akong umiilag pero malakas talaga siya. Ganito siya lagi kapag kinikilig.

"Nakaalis na sina Mayor pero yung bango niya nandito pa rin!" Kinikilig na sambit niya habang hinahampas hampas pa ako, I can't help myself to chuckle at her reaction. 

"Yeah, mabango nga."

"Yeah, right? Lalo na nung namigay na siya ng ayuda! Nung nakalapit na ako! My God! Singhot na singhot ko! Grabe! Siya lang talaga ang gwapong nakita ko rito sa San Jimenez! Walang tutulad!

"May mga mas gwapo pa rin naman kay Mayor. Yung mga foreign actor-"

"Hindi! Kung titignan mo may panama talaga siya sa mga artista, modelo o kung ano pa! Tas ang sexy pa ng boses! Daig pa Diyos na nakatayo sa harap! Jusko naman! Oo!"

Tumango ako, she's right. Hinarap ko ang kaibigan. "Pero mayabang naman? hindi mo ba nasesense?" I asked curiously, hindi ko alam kung nararamdaman din ba niya o ako lang. 

"Nope, in fact ang humble pa nga niya. Can't you see? kaya gustong gusto siya ng mga matatanda. Hindi siya namimili ng mga taong kakausapin neither are you're poor or not."

Politicians are experts to act like that in front of many people. I don't know if the Mayor's here is genuine, I hope he is.

"Did you know that... he is still single." Tumili ito ng mahina.

"Really? baka may secret girlfriend. He's good looking and hot so it's impossible if he doesn't have one. Besides, he can pull any women he wants."  I said.

"Sabagay, I can see the playboy in him, what do you think?" Si Gwen, nagulat ako roon akala ko kasi puro good side lang ang makikita niya.

"Obviously, men like him loves to play but it doesn't matter. He's just a mayor and that's his personal life kaya wala na tayong karapatan manghimasok dun." Ngumisi sa akin si Gwen, kumunot ang noo ko at natawa.

"Bakit?" Lito kong tanong.

"Hmm, disappointed?" tudyo niya.

"What? I don't like him, Gwen"

"Weh? you find him attractive. You called him good-looking and hot."

Umiling ako. "It's because that's true. Gwapo at hot naman talaga. Yes, I find him attractive but doesn't mean I like him." I explained. Di ko alam bakit pa.

"You know what, Soliana. You are smart, same as he is, wide perspective, rational thought, and have strong opinion I think bagay kayo. Imagine yourself as his first lady." sabay kindat niya.

My face heated immediately at agad umiling.

"Gwen, thank you for your compliments but we weren't. He's rich from an elite family and most importantly the Mayor and me? a mere student. Ang bagay sakaniya yung mga ka-level lang niya."

"It's not about the status, Sol. It's about the same wavelength and feelings of course."

"Oo nga pero impossible naman kasi ang mga sinasabi mo, he's too grand for me and I will just taint his name."

Gwen rolled her eyes. "Bakit mo ba dinadown ang sarili mo? You're Soliana, my besfriend and a top student from our school."

Hindi ko mapigilang ngumiti. "Ikaw din naman ah."

"Not on your level. You're on top. See that, Sol? Anong you will taint his name ka diyan!"

Umiling ako, talagang ipinipilit niya sa akin si Mayor. If liking him it would be possible for me but him liking me? that's impossible.
