The sun's soft golden rays peeked through the large stained-glass windows of the grand hall, casting intricate patterns on the polished marble floors. The hum of excited chatter filled the space as guests took their seats, awaiting the beginning of the ceremony. Y/n stood in the bridal suite, her hands trembling slightly as she adjusted the lace of her gown. Zion and Hawks worked quietly around her, ensuring every last detail was in place. The gown shimmered with delicate lacework and silk, a perfect blend of elegance and grace.
Zion stepped back, her eyes scanning Y/n from head to toe. "You look absolutely breathtaking," she murmured, her voice thick with emotion. "This is your moment, Y/n. You've come so far."
Y/n gave a small, nervous laugh, brushing her hands over the fabric. "I still can't believe it's happening," she confessed, her voice barely above a whisper. "It feels like I've been waiting for this day my entire life."
Standing near the window, Hawks turned to her with a proud grin. "You deserve this. You and Touya both. You've fought for each other, for your future. This is the beginning of something incredible."
Before Y/n could respond, there was a soft knock at the door. Zion and Hawks looked at each other with knowing glances, but Zion quickly answered.
"You're not supposed to see her yet," Zion said with a playful but firm tone. "No peeking!"
A soft chuckle came from the other side of the door, followed by Touya's voice. "I promise I'm not peeking. I just wanted to tell her that everything's ready. We're waiting for her."
Zion raised an eyebrow but smiled. "She'll be ready when she's ready."
Touya's footsteps retreated from the door, and Y/n let out a shaky breath, feeling the weight of everything building up.
"I'll be alright, right?" she murmured, her hands still trembling as she adjusted the veil that hung delicately over her shoulder.
"You're going to be perfect," Zion reassured her, her voice soft but unwavering. She gave Y/n's arm a gentle squeeze. "You've worked so hard for this, and you've made it here. Don't forget, you've got this."
Hawks joined them in the mirror, looking at Y/n with a knowing smile. "It's your day. You've come a long way from the person you used to be. Look how far you've come. Four years sober, and here you are—about to marry the love of your life."
Y/n nodded, the weight of the moment settling in. "I can't believe how much I've changed," she whispered, her gaze focused on her reflection. She had worked so hard to get to this point, to build herself back up after everything she'd been through. And now, here she was, ready to marry the man she loved with all of her heart.
Zion moved closer to Y/n, helping her adjust the final touches of her gown. "Let's get you down that aisle."
The moment had arrived. Zion and Hawks helped lift the long train of Y/n's gown, guiding her toward the door. Y/n's heart raced in her chest as she moved toward the hallway. The guests were already settling into their seats, and the sound of soft violins could be heard in the distance, signaling that the ceremony was about to begin.
The doors to the hall were closed, and as Y/n stood just behind them, she felt a sense of calm wash over her. She closed her eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath, and then opened them again, her gaze fixed on the man she was about to marry. She could already hear his voice in her head, feel his presence even without seeing him.
As the music swelled, the doors to the hall opened slowly, and the light poured in, illuminating Y/n as she stepped forward. Each step down the aisle felt like a dream, her heart beating faster with each movement. She was conscious of the eyes of the guests, but all she could focus on was the man waiting for her at the altar.
