Chapter 26: Rescue

Halfway there they decide to blindfold me and honestly Idk what scared me more at this point that I might get raped or that I was gonna see my brother again.

The car comes to a stop and I'm yanked out of the backseat and forced to walk down a gravel path that twists and winds. I'm yanked to a stop and I hear a door creak open. I'm shoved inside and I stumble.

"I see you've captured the girl without fail." A guy says. I note his Mexican accent.

"Without fault Dontè. Jack has an attachment to this one. He will come running." Ross says.

"Excellent. Put her with her brother and JC." Dontè says. I feel Ross grab my arm and drag my away. He leads me down a long hall and then I hear a door open and I'm shoved in, causing me to lose my balance and fall.

"Kenzie!" I hear my brother say as the door closes. The blindfold is ripped off my eyes as I blink rapidly struggling to adjust my eyes to the dim lighting. I see my brothers worried eyes staring at me as he unties my wrists.

"Are you okay?" He asks. I nod.

"Yeah...where are we?" I ask rubbing my wrists as they are sore from the rope that held them together.

"We don't know." I hear. I turn to see JC sitting wit his back against the concrete wall. "We got separated from everyone else at the hospital and next thing I know knockout gas is filling the room."

"Next thing I know we wake up to Dontè demanding to know where Jack and Jack are." Kian finishes.

"Gilinskys on his way to get me...um us." I hurry to correct myself.

"You?" JC asks.

"She meant us. Right sis?" Kian asks looking into my eyes. Oh how can I lie to him?

"No she meant her. Her precious bodyguard is in love with her." We turn to see Dontè. Kian pushes me behind him.

"Lies! Gilinsky knows the deal." Kians muscles tense. I'm in trouble now.

"Too bad. Now to lure him out faster." Dontè steps into the room grabbing me. Kian grabs my arm and they start tug of war.

"Let her go Kian or it'll get worse for her." Dontè says pulling so hard I fly to the floor.

"You hurt her and I swear to god." Kian locks his jaw.

Dontè laughs and even Jcs jaw locks.

"I'll do more than hurt her." He smiles evily and now I'm scared to death.

Suddenly a gun goes off and Dontè hits the floor.

"Don't EVER threaten her again." I hear Gilinsky say as he steps out of the shadows holding a gun and looking mad as hell. I stand up and throw myself into his arms. He hugs me tightly.

"Are you okay?" He pulls away and checks me over. I quickly nod.

"So its true." Kian says. I jump. I had almost forgotten him and JC were there.

"What's true?" Gilinsky asks.

"You and my sister." Kian crosses his arms as JC stands up.

"Uh...yeah.". Gilinsky sighs.

" Give me two reasons I shouldn't kill you." Kian glares. How about he saved your damn life.

"How about we need to leave!?" Jack says popping out from behind Gilinsky.

"We will discuss this later." Gilinsky says taking charge again and grabbing my hand. I nod at him and we race down the halls following Jack. We run into Sammy and Stephanie who have blood on them.

"What's she doing here!?" Stephanie asks her brother.

"Not important. Where the rest of the crew?" Gilinsky asks.

"Outside. The place has been secured." Sam says saluting.

"Good. Get her out of here." Gilinsky says shoving me towards Sammy.

"But Gilinsky!?" I pull against Sammy trying to reach my boyfriend.

"Go! I'll be fine." Gilinsky checks his gun and heads back.

"I'll go with him." Kian says.

"Take this." Stephanie hands him her gun. "Don't let anything happen to him please." Kian nods at her and races after Gilinsky.

"Let's go." Sammy then grabs my hand and we run through the halls of the building. Down a stair case and out a door into the bright sunlight.

I blink trying to adjust my eyes.

"Kenzie!?" I hear. I turn to see Crawford and Matt run over. They pull me into a group hug.

"Are you okay?" Matt asks. I nod.

"How'd they get you?" Crawford asks.

"They broke into the hotel room." I say.

"I told your boyfriend it was a bad idea to leave you." Matt shakes his head.

"Where's Gilinsky?" Crawford asks.

"Still inside with Kian." I sigh looking at the door we just came out of.

Suddenly theres an explosion from inside the building.

"Get down!" Crawford pushes me down and covers me. I cover my head as glass and bits of concrete rain down on us.

"Everyone okay?" I hear Jack call out as the smoke clears.

A chorus of "yeah" s  and "yup" s are heard. Then realization hits me. Gilinsky and my brother are in the building.

I shove Crawford off me and take off towards the building on fire only to be grabbed by him.

"Where are you going?" He asks.

"My brother and boyfriend are in there." I scream trying to push Crawford away. I stop struggling as I see two figures emerging from the burning building. I sigh in relief as I see its Gilinsky and Kian.

I rush over to them hugging my brother first then my boyfriend.

"Are you okay!?"  Stephanie asks running over to us. Gilinsky nods hugging his sister.

"What happened to Dontè?" Jack asks.

"Gone." Gilinsky sighs.
