Chapter 13: Things Change

We get home and I head straight to my room still pissed at Gilinsky. I'm not mad at him for following my brothers orders, its the way he did it that pisses me off. He may be my body guard but he can't just push me around and guh!

"Hey..." I turn my head to see Gilinsky standing there.

"Come too give me more orders from my brother?" I ask.

"No, to apologize." He sighs.

"You were following orders." I sigh pulling out my phone to text Matt. I send him a quick text to meet me at the bridge. He quickly replies with OK.

"Yeah, but you want to know why I got so..." He trails off looking for the right word.

"Salty?" I decide to help him out. He chuckles and nods. "Sure."

"I realize I could of gotten you hurt or worse killed..." He walks over to me.

"Well you didn't and I've had a gun pointed at me before." I shrug. He takes my hand and I look into his eyes confused.

"If something had happened to you I never would have forgiven myself." He grasps my hand tighter.

"Gilinsky..." He quickly shushes me. Why the dramatics? My face shows confusion and I'm waiting for answers.

"Kenzie...I have a confession to make.." He softly says.

"And that is?" Where is he going with this?

"I-" hes cut off by someone clearing their throat. We turn our heads to see Trevor standing there.

"Am I interrupting?" He asks smirking.

"No." He drops my hand.

"Yes." I give Gilinsky a look and he shrugs.

"Um anyway I'm supposed to make sure Kenzie knows sthat Kian wants her to stay here till he gets back." Trevor says. I growl. How am I supposed to meet with Matt now?

"When will that be?" I ask grabbing a hoodie.

"I would assume late. Almost the entire team is out with Kian on a co-op" he shrugs. Awesome.

"Great I'm leaving." I then walk past trevor down the stairs and towards the front door. Before I can leave the door is slammed out of my hands, I'm turned around and slammed up against the door, staring up into the furious eyes of Gilinsky.

"What?" I growl.

"You are not leaving." He says.

"Yes, I am." I state. He can not keep me prisoner in my own house!

"Then I'm going with you." He says pulling away and checking his gun.

"Fine. But you won't like where I'm going." I say before turning and leaving the house. I notice its become dark, making this mission more dangerous. I hear Gilinsky s footsteps fall in next to mine.

"Where are we going?" He asks in a low voice. I havent figured out how I'm going to ask matt about jack and Gilinsky with him there.

"You'll see." I say as we approach the bridge. I smile seeing Matt in his red hoodie, then frown seeing he has someone with him.

"Who is that?" Gilinsky asks stopping. I roll my eyes and keep walking.

"Hey!" I call out to them Matt turns and I see him grin then his frown. Before I can ask why he's frowning I'm yanked backwards.

"Who are you!?" Gilinsky says. I notice he has his gun out and pointed at them with one hand the other was gripping my arm rather tightly.

"Are you insane? You can't have a gun on the bridge that violates the peace treaty!" I scold Gilinsky. How dumb us he?
