Chapter 11: Gilinsky vs Chris

Gilinsky and I change into our bathing suits and head to my backyard to my pool and jump in.

I surface and look around for Gilinsky who hasn't surface. I yelp as I'm pulled underwater to see Gilinsky.

He waves at me and I wave back before swimming to the surface. I surface and he surfaces in front of me. He laughs as I shove him.

"That wasn't nice." I pout.

"I'm sorry babe." He says moving my wet hair out of my face. I look at him confused and he motions with his eyes behind me. I turn my head to see Chris, Connor and Crawford. Oh this should go well. I quickly turn my head and give Gilinsky a panicked look. He gives me a reassuring smile.

I decide to trust his judgment and next thing I know he moves me and catches something. I turn my head to see he has a squishy ball in his hand and his chest is vibrating. I hear a low growl coming from him. His body guarding must be taking over.

"Nice catch new guy." Chris says.

"Throw it at my girlfriend again and I'll fuck you up." Gilinsky growls.

"Babe, calm down," I swim in front of him and place my hands on his muscled chest. He looks down at me and his face softens.

"Girlfriend?" Connor and Crawford say at the same time.

"Yeah, we are dating. Get over it." I say looking at them, Connor shrugs and goes back to the book he was reading. Crawford on the other hand shakes his head. I quickly look back at Gilinsky before I cave and tell Crawford everything. Gilinsky silently asks if I'm okay with his eyes. I nod and swim away from him, suddenly not in the mood to swim. I quickly get out and I hear a whistle. I turn my head to see it came from chris. I scoff and turn around to grab a towel.

"Whistle at her again I dare you." I hear Gilinsky say. I turn my head to see him in Chris' face.

"What are you gonna do about it? Does Kian know about you two?" Chris asks raising his eyebrow.

"Yes"

"No." Gilinsky and I answer at the same time. He turns his ahead to look at me.

"Babe, I thought you told him." Gilinsky asks.

"I was going to tell him tonight." I quickly answer back.

"Better tell him before I do." Chris says before walking away.

"Wow.." Crawford says getting up. I look at him confused. He starts to walk past me but stops.

"You know I never thought you were a whore. First you were fucking my brother and now the new kid." He then walks past me. I feel tears come to my eyes and I hurry inside and up to my room. I slam the door shut behind me and collapse on the floor in tears.

How could Crawford call me a whore!? He knows I'm not like that and if he knew what his brother tried to do to me he would think twice.

I sniff wiping away my tears and getting up. I pull of my bikini top and toss it behind me. I hear a grunt and I turn around to see Gilinsky standing there with my top in his hand. I let out a scream and cover my chest.

"Oh shit!" He cries out covering his eyes. "I'm sorry I should have knocked."

I race into my closet and shut the door. I then grab a bra from a drawer.

"Yeah you should have." I answer back grabbing a shirt and slipping it on.

"I'm sorry. I was worried." He says. I peek through the crack in my door to see he's uncovered his eyes. He is clearly blushing and to honest its kind of cute. I completely change and slowly open my closet door causing the kid to recover his eyes.

"You can look." I smirk.

"Good because that was a bit awkward." Gilinsky says. I notice he's still in his swimming trunks. I blush notice once again his six pack.

"What?" Gilinsky looks down. "Oh." He looks back at me grinning.

"You should go change." I say.

"I should go change." He agrees not moving from his spot.

"Yeah...." I say waiting for him to leave, instead he stands there studying me.

"Umm jack..."I say addressing him by his first name.

"Yeah." He snaps out of his trance.

"You gonna go change?" I ask, not really wanting him to leave.

"Yeah..I was supposed to do that wasn't i?" He says blushing. I nod.

"Yeah.."

"Okay, I'll be right back." He says before leaving the room.

I sigh and sit down on my bed. I hear footsteps enter my room.

"That was quick." I say turning my head expecting to see Gilinsky and instead chris is there. "What do you want?" I narrow my eyes.

"You really like him?" He asks. He must be referring to my fake romance.

"Yes." I say standing up.

"What's he got that I don't?" Chris walks over to me.

"He's not a complete asshole like you!" I say and gasp as his fist collides with my face. I hit the ground and chris kneels next to me.

"Watch your tone. Your brother is my best friend and I can convince him to let me date you giving you no choice but to leave loser boy." He says quietly.

My eyes go wide. I don't want that. I have to beat him to my brother first!

"Why are you such a dick?" I ask tears welling up in my eyes.

"I want you and I will get you." He smiles like a psycho.

"You can't have me! Okay! Whatever, I thought I saw in you, its gone! I hate you!" I spit out and wince as chris draws his fist back.

"What the hell is going on in here!?" I hear Gilinsky ask. I sigh in relief and open my eyes.

"This is just the beginning." Chris stand up and walks past Gilinsky, who gives him a dirty look. He then kneels next to me and frowns looking at my jaw.

"Are you okay?" He softly asks gently touching my jaw with his hand. I wince in pain and try to keep tears from coming.

"No..." I choke out before the sobs overwhelm me. Gilinsky quickly pulls me into his arms and holds me tightly. I shiver as I feel his muscular arms hold me tightly and protectively.

"Its gonna be okay. I never should have left you alone. I'm sorry Kenzie." He softly apologizes. I want to tell him that it is okay and that it wasn't his fault, but I can't stop crying. He starts to rock me and continues to tell me its going to be alright. Eventually I calm down and just lay in his arms, my face burried in his shirt.

"You wanna get out of here?" He softly asks. I nod. We get up and as Gilinsky holds the front door open for me, I realize that I need him. Probably more than he realizes.
