(Shepard, Thorne, Ashley, Kaidan, Jenkins, Garrus, Wrex, Tali, and Liara go through decontamination and exit onto the spaceport of Noveria, but they are met by a woman named Maeko Matsuo and a security force)

Maeko: That's far enough

Shepard: We're not here to cause problems

Maeko: This is an unscheduled arrival. I need your credentials

Thorne: You first

Kaira: Hey. We're the law here. Show some damn respect

(Thorne has a very irritated expression under his mask, but he keeps his trigger finger in check)

Shepard: I'm a spectre working for the council. My name's Shepard

Kaira: Load of horseshit, mam

Maeko: We will need to confirm that. Also, I must advise you that firearms are not permitted on Noveria. Sergeant Stirling, secure their weapons

(Kaira Stirling and a few guards step forward)

Thorne: Oh no you don't

(Thorne, Ashley, Garrus, and Wrex all draw their guns, and the Noveria guards all draw their guns)

Ashley: I don't think so

Kaira: Charge and lock!

Wrex: Don't even try it

Maeko: We are authorized to use lethal force. You have to the count of three to surrender your weapons

(Maeko cocks her rifle, but as she goes go raise it, Gianna Parasini intervenes)

Gianna: Captain Matsuo! Stand down! We have confirmed Shepard's identity. Spectres are authorized to carry weapons here, Capain

Maeko: You may proceed, spectre. I hope the rest of your visit will be less confrontational. Paradini-San will meet you upstairs

Kaira: Behave yourself. I'll be keeping an eye on you

(As soon as everyone steps through a door, an alarm blares, but Gianna Parasini shuts it off)

Gianna: Weapon detectors. Don't mind the alarms

Shepard: Who are you?

Gianna: I am Gianna Parasini, assistant to Administrator Anolies. We apologize for the incident in the docking bay

Shepard: I appreciate your help

Gianna: You're welcome. You must understand our security chief was only doing her job. One of my duties is the orientation of new arrivals. Do you have any questions?

Shepard: Has anyone unusual passed through here recently?

Thorne: Other than us?

Gianna: Unusual? An asari matriarch did pass through here a few days ago. Lady Benezia
