August, 20, 1980.

It was early in the morning, it started with terrible weather. Rain splashed on the roofs which made a loud noise.

It was a day later after David's surgery. He was getting worse, his voice had disappeared since last night, or in other words, his voice was hoarse than ever.

I opened my eyes blinking, I woke up early and how? I sat up straight and stretched out, looking next to me. David was still sleeping peacefully, he also needed his rest a lot. He'd gotten out of bed a dozen times during the night to get a cold glass of water for his sore throat.

I looked at the clock, half past seven. Who cares, to get out of bed early for once. I got out of bed and put on my bathrobe, because David was still sleeping, I went to give him a cup of tea and a biscuit.

When I had poured the tea I took the tray with me up there, I just managed to walk up the stairs with two cups of tea.

When I got to the bedroom I gently placed the tray on the other side of the bed. And walked over to David to wake him up if he needed to. I rubbed David's forehead. "Wake up darling, I have something tasty for you." I whispered.

David's soft snore stopped, David turned his head to my side with a yawn. "Slept well, honey?" I asked with a smile. David had to blink five more to get a better look, he cleared his throat, "Yeah, I was fine, thanks!" His voice was still gone.

"I made you some tea, with a biscuit. Would you like that?" I asked as I pushed the tray forward. David licked his lips and sat up, "That looks delicious, of course I want that."

David rubbed his eyes and stirred his tea. I sat down next to David in bed. "Are you all right?" I asked. "I still feel a little sleepy, but I'll get over it." David said as he gave me a kiss on my cheek.

"I believe so, we're going to take it easy today. Do you feel like taking a bath?" I asked as I massaged his back. "Sounds delicious!" Smiled David.

I kissed David on the cheek as I jumped off the bed to fill David's bath.

"Thanks for the tea and the delicious cookie sweetie, it was delicious!" David then said loudly as I stood in the bathroom, "You're welcome honey, I'll do this more often, I promise!" I said as I let the water flow into the tub.

I put a special soap in the water, I squeezed the soap bottle and rubbed little bubbles into it, which gave a nice effect. I dried my hands on the towel and went back to the bedroom.

"How did you sleep on the first day without your tonsils, honey?" I asked. David got out of bed and took off his pajamas. "It went well, I have and had a lot of pain in my throat, the pain continues to rumble on me."

"Okay, by the way, I think your bath is already full." I smiled. David stretched and took a deep yawn, "Okay then, I'm going to take a bath, be right back."

When David took his morning time to bathe, I was still in the bedroom on our bed. The weather was beautiful today, suddenly I suddenly remembered something I had read yesterday in a newspaper about David. There was a lot of nonsense gossip about him, actually I wanted to read the newspaper again.

I got up from the bed, my plan is to go to the supermarket and get the paper before they might sell out.

I knocked on the bathroom door where David is in the bath, "Honey? I'm going to the supermarket, I have to get a newspaper." I said when I opened the door.
