February 14th, 1980. Beautiful weeks without worries flew by.

Valentine's day. ♡

It was early in the morning, sun shone through the curtains. With the luck that we would have nice weather today.

David and I were up early, covering the living room with red petals early to make it as romantic as possible on this beautiful Valentine's Day.

We had bought presents for each other, to prove to each other that love falls for each other. David and I sat at the table together. "Shall I start with the present first?" David asked as he smiled nervously at me.

"I'm curious sweetie!" I answered. David took the present from his lap and handed it to me. "For you, honey, because I love you so very much. You deserve this gift, take this from me, wear this on special occasions like today maybe if you want to."

I opened the present, a beautiful red dress appeared with a white knitted little jacket. "Oh this is beautiful, thank you sweetie!" I said as I bent down to David for a kiss. "You're welcome baby, put on, see if it fits." Smiled David.

"Okay, i'll be right back!" I said as I walked upstairs and put on the beautiful new dress. It fit my posture exactly, I stood in front of the mirror that was attached to our wardrobe.

I went down the stairs and walked over to David who was still sitting at the table. "Look, beauty. It looks great on you, you look like a princess." David said as he walked up to me and held my hands. "Thank you for this beautiful gift dear." I said as I gave David a kiss. "You're welcome honey." David held my hand and sat down at the kitchen table.

"Now it's my turn, I bought this last one and this belongs to you and me, because we're the perfect couple and I want to be with you for years to come." I said when I gave my present to David.

David tore open the present, immediately he seemed impressed on his face. He held out a bag with two necklaces. "Those are love necklaces, like this dress you can wear the necklaces on special occasions, but you can also wear it every day if you want. Do you like it?" I asked.

"They're lovely, honey, come on, I'll put the other one on you. What a beautiful gift, thank you sweetie!" David said as he bent over to put the other love necklace on me. Each necklace had hearts on it.

The love chain is attached to my neck by David. "Shall I put yours on now?" I asked with a smile. "Good idea sweetie, go ahead." David said sweetly.

I stood behind David and fastened the chain to his neck. "There, look, now we're connected." I said as I looked cheerfully at the necklaces. David held up his heart from his necklace and kissed it. "So, a special kiss for a special necklace I got from a special sweet spontaneous girl." Said David with a smile.

I sat on David's lap at the kitchen table, David massaged my back. We talked about a great future that we probably had ahead of us.

After a few hours we walk hand and hand across the park, the sun shone brightly in our eyes, and we enjoyed the sound of the fountain in the water and the quacking ducks. "What a beautiful day with you." David said as he put on his sunglasses. "I agree." I smiled.

Suddenly there was a loud cry for help. "Can someone save my dog? He's drowning! Help!" David heard it and looked at me. "Oh look that puppy is almost drowning!" I said as I pointed to the water. "I'm going after! Here, hold my precious necklace." David said as he untied his chain and placed it in my hand.

David ran to the water and jumped into it, clothes and all. I went to stand next to the poor old woman who saw her dog drown with her own eyes, I tried to calm her down by saying everything was going to be okay.

David had come to the middle of the water and picked up the puppy and laid the poor puppy on his shoulder. He swam back to shore.

I kept David coming out of water, unfortunately the little puppy appeared to be in small condition. "Oh my sweet little Bentley, is he all right?" Said the old woman as she squatted down. David put the little puppy on his lap. The puppy was shaking and had his eyes closed.

"Here, borrow my scarf!" I said as I handed my warm scarf to David. "Thanks dear, I'll try to warm him up with this." David said as he rubbed my warm scarf over the poor doggy's body.

Suddenly the little dog came to and David licked his face. "Oh Bentley, you're back! How shocked I am!" Said the owner of the dog, what a relief!

The dog licked David's face all over, as if to thank him for what he had done.

"Yes, yes, boy, it's all right, go to your owner sweet animal!" Said David with a smile. The little dog jumped from David's lap and jumped into the arms of his faithful owner. "Who can I thank?"
The older woman asked as she petted her dog.

David straightened up, "My name is David Bowie, we heard you calling for help, how could this happen?"

"I threw the ball too far into the water, worst mistake I've ever made, this is only a 5 month old puppy. How lucky he is to have survived, thanks to you David and madam, what am I very happy now." A big smile appeared on the woman's face.

David put his hand on the older woman's shoulder, "No problem, you're welcome ma'am, what a cute little dog!" David said when his eyes were on the dog.

"His name is Bentley and he comes from a poor family, his mother had died when he and his siblings were born." The woman said as she put the dog on the ground. I bent over to pet the wet dog, he immediately jumped on my lap and licked my face, it made me laugh.

"But thank you, madam and sir, you will have to take a shower, you seem to be cold." The older woman said as she tied her dog to the leash.

David nodded his head and shook the lady's hand, "You are most welcome, ma'am." Smiled David.

The woman waved and the dog barked with his tongue out. I sighed, "You saved a dog's life." I said as I put David's necklace around his neck. "It makes me feel extra good again, how sad that was for that woman, if no one had heard her, that poor dog might already have drowned!" David said as he held my hand.

"Indeed, come on, we're going home, you'll get cold soon. When we get home, take a nice warm bath, it's not that hot outside." I said as we walked home.

When we got home, David quickly walked to the bathroom. His clothes were completely wet from the water.

I already started dinner because it was getting quite late, as it was a beautiful Valentine's Day I prepared David's favorite food, shepherd's pie was on the menu today.

After a long hour David came back after a nice hour of sitting in the warm bath. "I smell something familiar!" David said as he excitedly moved to the table. "You've earned your favorite food." I smiled as I removed the shepherd's pie from the hot oven.

I put the bowl on the table. David quickly got up to speed, "I'm so hungry!" David said as he rubbed his hands.

"It looks good, doesn't it?" I asked as I scooped up the plate. David licked his lips, "Oh yes, I was so excited for this!"

I sat down at the table. David took a bite of his favorite food, "Hmmmm, oh this is so delicious." Said David with his mouth full. I chuckled, "Since it's Valentine's Day, I knew I had to prepare this today!"

After enjoying each other on a beautiful Valentine's Day, it was time to go to bed and close the beautiful day, well, I hope to see you again in the next installment, goodbye dear reader!
