Hiccup POV:
I ran all the way to Astrid's house. I was so confused and angry that I didn't even knock on her door. I had tunnel vision and all I needed to do was talk to Astrid.

I swung open her door and Astrid's parents said "Hiccup! Are you hear to see Astrid?" I completely ignored them and ran up the stairs into Astrid's room. I flew into the door and it quickly opened

"What the hell, Hiccup?" Astrid said, startled. "That's what I should be asking you!" I yelled back. "What actually happened that day in the woods?!" "For Thor's sake, Hiccup! I already told you." She replied, rolling her eyes. "I've heard a different story, Astrid." I shot her a serious look. "What did she tell you..?" She asked. She looked scared. I didn't want to get Y/n trouble. "I heard that it was you! You pushed her! You threatened her! You tried to kill her!" "I-" She hesitated as if she didn't know what to say next. "I didn't know-" I immediately cut her off. "Don't you dare say you didn't know the pit was there! You threatened her to stay away from me! You told her that you knew it was there and that you did try to kill her!" I yelled. "Tell me the GODDAMN truth Astrid!"

"It was me. It's all true..." She replied starting to cry. I was so angry. Everything I thought I knew about her had come falling apart. "Don't you DARE go anywhere near her. Ever again." I said disappointed. "Okay. Fine." She said rolling her eyes and walking towards me. I stepped back. "That includes me." "What?!" She yelled at me. "Stay away from me Astrid." I said beginning to cry. "But Hiccup!" She screamed at me. "No Astrid. You've said enough."

With that said I walked downstairs and went to exit her house. She ran after me. "Hiccup wait! You can't do this!" She yelled, grabbing my arm. "NO ASTRID. STAY AWAY FROM ME." I shouted at her, pulled my arm free and ran out of the door.

Y/n POV:
After crying for a while, I stood and wiped my eyes. There was nothing I could do. I just had to wait and see what happened.

Hiccup didn't come back to see me after that. I understood why. It was all my fault. Hiccup may not have come to see me, but someone else did.

As I was in my back room, tidying, I heard the front door open. "I'm in here Gobber!" I yelled. No answer. "Gobber?" Still no reply. I walked into my living area to see what he was doing but it wasn't him.

I froze again. I didn't know what to do. I couldn't scream, I just stood there. A dragon. It looked at me curiously. It didn't look like it was going to hurt me but I didn't care. I was terrified.

It started to walk towards me and I started to panic and stepped back a little. He must have seen that I was panicking because he stopped, sat on the floor and kneeled down, bowing it's head slightly. I stood there for a minute before the dragon started walking towards me again. I flinched, closed my eyes, and turned my head away putting my hand out, trying to get it away.

I felt something rough, but smooth at the same time, touch my hand. I opened my eyes and saw that the dragon had his head against my hand and had closed its eyes. Wow. I thought to myself feeling a huge amount of relief.

My door swung open again. "Toothless what are you-" Hiccup began before stopping to take in the sight in front of him. He gave me a wide smile. As soon as Toothless saw Hiccup he smiled. Smiled?! Dragons can smile?! He walked over to Hiccup and licked his face. "Okay bud, okay!" Hiccup said laughing. Then it hit me what was happening.

"There's a dragon in my house." I said quickly. "THERE'S A DRAGON IN MY HOUSE!" I yelled. Hiccup laughed. Toothless looked confused. "Y/n meet Toothless," Hiccup began. "Toothless meet Y/n." The dragon started to walk towards me.

I flinched and stepped back. "It's okay." Hiccup said calmly. "He won't hurt you." I put my hand out again and he rested his head on it once more. I looked at Hiccup with a shocked expression. I'm touching a dragon. Wow.

"See!" Hiccup said giggling. Toothless rolled over at my feet. "Uhhhh..." I said starting to panic slightly. "What is it doing?!"

"I think he wants you to rub his belly." He smiled. "What?!" I exclaimed. "Are we looking at the same thing?! This is a dragon! Not a dog!" Hiccup laughed. "Dragons are basically just overgrown puppy dogs." "Noted." I said staring at the dragon at my feet.

I got down on my knees and began petting him on the stomach. "You really don't know anything about dragons, do you...?" Hiccup said, looking at us inquisitively. "Nothing." I said, still petting the dragon in front me of. "He's kind of... cute." I said smiling. "Maybe they aren't all bad."

"You should let me teach you about them!" He said excitedly. "Hic, today is the first day I've even touched a dragon I don't think I'm ready to go full 'dragon trainer' yet." "No, no. I mean, have you even read the book the dragons?" He asked. "The book of what?..." I said back. He laughed and shook his head. "You don't have to be around dragons to learn about them. I could teach you without you having to go near one?" "Really?" I replied. "Of course!" He exclaimed. "If you're up for it of course." I thought about it for a minute before Toothless opened his eyes and smiled at me. That seemed to convince me. "Okay." I said smiling back at him.

"Great!" He said. He looked so happy. "Oh! Wait here. I need to get you something!" He said before running out of the door. "Wait! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THE-" He was gone. "Dragon..." I said defeatedly.

Toothless stood up and began nuzzling against me. It was weirdly comforting. Is this what dragons were really like? Toothless went under my arm and I lifted it up and petted him on the head.

A little while later Hiccup came back with a huge book. "Looks like you two are making friends!" He laughed, making me jump slightly as I didn't see him come in. "What's that?" I asked him inquisitively. "It's the book of dragons." He began. "Everything you need to know about every single species of dragon is in this book." He placed it on my table and began flicking through the pages.

After that we spoke for hours about all of the different dragons and their breeds. It was actually really interesting.

At one point he stopped and stared at me as I was reading one of the pages. When I noticed he was looking at me I pushed my hair behind my ear and said "What are you looking at?" "Nothing!" He replied, blushing and looking away.
