He made me believe... (READ STORY DESCRIPTION!!!)

Permanently.

We landed on Berk in a panic. We looked left and right but couldn't see anything. We ran into the middle of the village but still, nothing.

"STUPID FUCKING HICCUPS-" we heard a yell come from the arena. I quickly looked at Hiccup who looked just as shocked as me. "What on earth did you do?!" Snotlout asked him. "I don't know! Let's go!" Hiccup said back and we made our way towards the arena.

When we arrived, Stoick greeted us with a tired smile. "What happened?" I asked looking around. I saw a huge hole in the chains over the top of the arena. "A dragon got the hiccups again..." Stoick said, trying not to laugh. "Oh my god." I said relieved and I fell to the floor laughing, as did the others. "You really need to change your name!" Tuff said, doubled over from laughing too hard. Stoick just looked confused.

"Ouch..." I said, looking down at my stomach. "You okay lassie?" Stoick asked walking over to me. "I'm good, laughing hurts a little but I'm fine." I said, still laughing.

"Stoick!" A voice came from behind us. "Is everything okay?" He asked the man. "The dragon made a hole in the ceiling of the keep..." Of course him saying that made us all laugh harder. "For Thor's sake..." Stoick replied and went with the man.

When we had all managed to collect ourselves we decided to go back to Hiccup's house to chill. "That was hilarious!" Snotlout exclaimed as he flopped down on the couch. "Scared the crap out of me!" Hiccup said, laughing, sitting down next to me and put his arm around me. "You guys are so cute, I could vomit." Snotlout said and put him arm around Fishlegs, imitating us. "I love you so much!" Snotlout said sarcastically to Fishlegs, making kissing noises. They both laughed. "Okay! We get it!" I said laughing.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door. Hiccup stood up and answered it "Dad?" Hiccup asked when he had opened that door. "Why didn't you just open the door- oh..." Hiccup stopped and burst out laughing again. Stoick looked burnt to a crisp and he was holding a bunch of burnt tools. That instantly sent us all into hysterics. When we had calmed down a little, Stoick said "Very funny..." and went upstairs.

Hiccup walked back over to the couch and sat down next to me. "Y/n!" Stoick called from upstairs. I looked at Hiccup who shrugged his shoulders, confused. I quickly stood up and made my way upstairs.

"In here!" Stoick called out and I walked into his room. "What's up?" I asked him smiling but I was slightly worried about what he was going to ask. "Sit down lassie." He said, gesturing for me to sit on the bed next to him.

As I sat down he began talking. "You've been staying with us for a while now, do you have any plans on where you're going to live permanently?" If I was being honest, I hadn't given it much thought. "I haven't really thought about it... I can talk to Gobber about moving in with him if you want me to? Sorry if I've been a problem." I had been staying with him for a while and I felt like I was becoming a burden. "No no lassie! The complete opposite if anything! I was going to ask if you wanted us to turn the old storage room into bedroom so you could stay with us permanently...?" He said smiling. "Really?! Thank you so much!" I said, hugging him. "You're an amazing house guest, Y/n. I'd be happy to have you permanently. After all, you must be sick of sleeping in Hiccup's bed by now!" He laughed.

I wasn't. I loved sharing a bed with him. That's when I realised. His dad doesn't know we're together.

"No, I love sharing a bed with Hiccup!" I said back. "Oh, really?" He asked. Stoick laughed and looked at me. "Yeah!" I responded.

"So, what do you say? Will you stay with us..?" I'll have to ask Hiccup if it's okay first though." I replied. "Of course!" He smiled again. "I'll let you get back to your friends." "Thank you! For everything." I replied. "It's no problem lassie. I'm proud to all you my daughter in law."

I blushed hard. Daughter in law?! I felt a huge gin make its way onto my face. "Well, see you later!" I said and ran downstairs to see the others.

"What was that all about?" Hiccup asked as I ran into the living room. "I need to talk to you! Alone..." I said smiling at him. "It's getting late anyway, we should probably be getting home." Snotlout said.

After everyone had said goodnight I grabbed Hiccups hand and led him upstairs to his room. "What up with you?" He asked laughing as I dragged him into his room.

"What's the matter?" He asked me, laughing slightly. I pulled him down onto the side of the bed. As he sat down he said "Okay, now you're starting to worry me... what did my dad say to you?"

"Okay, so. He wanted to talk about my housing situation." I began before I saw his face drop. "Are you going to be living somewhere else..." he asked, looking sadly at the floor. "Let me finishhhh!" I replied, poking him in the ribs. "Okay, okay! Sorry!" He said, holding his hands up and laughing. "He wanted to know what my plans were. I assumed he was talking to me about moving out so I told him I could talk to Gobber about moving in with him." I said smiling at him. "So you're moving out...?" He replied, looking down, sad. I grabbed his chin and lifted it so that his eyes were in line with mine. "He asked me to stay here Hic. Permanently!"
"REALLY?!" He exclaimed, his mood shifting to a happy one. "Yeah! He said he could turn the storage room into a bedroom for me!" I waved my arms in excitement. He didn't say anything. "Hic...?" I started to worry. What if he wanted me to move out?...

"That's amazing!" He yelled and jumped on top of me, pushing me backwards onto the bed and kissing me. "Ouch!" I flinched as he lent on my stomach. "Sorry!" He giggled slightly and stood up. I jumped up and into his arms. "You want me to?!" I said excitedly. "More than anything!" He replied hugging me tightly. I thought back to what his dad had said. "Did you tell your dad anything about us?" I asked suspiciously. "No, I was waiting for you. I wanted to check you were ready for that." He smiled at me.

"Okay." I replied. "Why?" Hiccup asked. "He called me his daughter in law..."

I immediately saw him blush. "It probably meant nothing though right..?" "Yeah... probably!" He replied, pulling me into a kiss again.
