He made me believe... (READ STORY DESCRIPTION!!!)

Teenage romance.

We flew for a while before Toothless decided he was tired and landed for a break. Hiccup jumped down from Toothless and helped me down too. "Thanks Toothless." I smiled patting him on the head.

We flopped down against a rock on the grass and looked at the moon. It had started to go down but not enough for the sunrise to have started yet.

"That was so. Much. Fun!" I yelled through breaths. Hiccup smiled at me. "How's your stomach holding up?" He asked looking down at it. I pulled up my shirt to reveal a healed, but very ugly, scar. I sighed and looked at the ground. He must have noticed that I was self conscious of it because he said "Here," and he started unscrewing his prosthetic leg. He unscrewed it from the wood and metal attached to his leg and with that Toothless stood up and stared at him expectedly. "Here you go then..." he laughed, rolling his eyes and threw it over the cliff and down below. I was confused until I saw Toothless go to catch it. "Dragons play fetch?" I asked laughing. "Yeah!" He laughed back.

After that he began to pull the metal casing off of his leg and unwrapping the protective cover from around it, under this his bare leg was showing, the scar of where he lost it looking very prominent. He placed his hand on my stomach and I flinched. "Trust me..." he said and I let him lift my shirt. "Look, see!" He said smiling. "We all have scars. Some are internal and some are external. They tell stories, Y/n. You don't have to be ashamed of them. "Thank you..." I said smiling at him. He was so kind. I didn't deserve him as a friend.

After a while he pulled the metal back onto his leg but not the prosthetic as Toothless was currently using it as a chew toy. I laughed.

Hiccup smiled at me. "I will never let anything happen to you." He said placing his hang in mine. I blushed and looked away.

Hiccup POV:
"What's wrong?" I asked her after she looked away. "Nothing..." she replied but I knew that was a lie. The sun slowly started to rise and a beautiful pink glow was casted upon us. It looked so romantic. No, I mean it's not! But it could be! If it wasn't us! Or was! I'm not saying I wouldn't I just- I cut off my thoughts before they got out of hand.

"Talk to me..." I said as I pulled her face towards me using her chin. She seemed to blushed even more which made me blush. She looked so beautiful in this light. She seemed to contemplate it for a minute before sighing and beginning to speak.

"Why haven't we spoken about what happened between us?" She asked. "I mean I get it if you don't like me like that but it would have been nice to talk about it. I know I cause problems a lot and I'm sorry for that! It's just when your dad said about us being together you looked so annoyed and I-" "Y/n..." I began before being cut off again. "It's like what happened between us just didn't happen. I don't understand I just think-" "Y/n!" I said trying to get her attention. "I get not liking me, I know I'm a lot but I wish we could have spoken about it before-" She was getting herself into a bit of a panic. There was only one thing I could think of that was make her be quiet.

I quickly leaned towards her and kissed her.

Y/n POV:
"And I-" I tried to say as his lips locked with mine. My eyes got super wide super quick. I was so shocked. I did not expect that at all. He pulled away and saw my shocked expression. "I'm sorry..." he said. "I just didn't know how else to make you stop talking..." I was still shocked but the sound of his voice made me snap back to reality. "Do you want to talk about-" he tried to begin before I leaped forward and kissed him back. He was shocked at first but then kissed me back. The fireworks were back. It's like I could physically feel the electricity between us. After intensely making out for a while I pulled back.

"What we're you going to say...?" I said trying to catch my breath. "Do you want to talk about us..." he said back, shocked. "That would probably be best..." I replied and we made eye contact. With that we burst out laughing. Once we had calmed down we started to talk about everything.

"The day you yelled and ran out of my house when we asked what was wrong..." he asked after a while. "What's was really wrong?" "You seemed so annoyed after your dad said that we were romantic or whatever. I kind of realised that maybe you didn't feel the same way back..." I said looking sad.

"Are you kidding me?!" He exclaimed. "I only looked annoyed because I thought you didn't like me and it made me sad that my dad brought it up!" "Oh my god, we're so stupid!" He said. And we both laughed again.

"So... how do you really feel..." I asked after a minute of silence. "I really like you Y/n..." he replied staring into my eyes. "Really?" I asked smiling. "Is it not obvious?!" He exclaimed laughing. I laughed and said "I like you too, Hic..." I blushed and looked away.

I suddenly had a thought. The note on Hiccups desk that I found the day we went to save him. I quickly pulled it out of my pocket. "What's that?" He asked looking at me curiously. "The day we went to save you I found this on your desk. The words are scribbled out and I didn't have time to figure it out, but now I do!" I said smiling. "No!" He said lunging forward and trying to grab the note off of me. I quickly pulled it away and he climbed on top of me to get it. "Give it here!" He said, laughing and blushing. "Never!" I said standing up and running around. As he hopped around on one leg trying to catch me I tried to read the scribbled note. 'Dear Y/n, will you' scribbled out. 'Do you want to be my' scribbled out. 'Will you be my girlfriend?' Scribbled out. I stopped running and looked at him in shock.

"You we're going to give this to...me?" I asked and he looked embarrassed. "Yeah, but it was stupid..." he said sitting over by the rock again. I sat with him. "It's not stupid Hiccup..." I said smiling at him. "It's adorable!" He looked away embarrassed.

"I...is..." I began. "Is what?" He asked looking at me again. "Is the offer still on the table?...." I said looking down and blushing again. "Yeah..." he said also blushing. "Really?!" I exclaimed. "Yeah!" He smiled at me and got on one knee. "Y/n Y/l/n, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked blushing. "Yes!" I said jumping into his arms and kissing him again.

Toothless decided he wasn't getting enough attention as he came over and plonked himself on top of us. "Toothless!" Hiccup said laughing and I laughed too.

"SHIT!" I said standing up and looking at the sun. "What?!" Hiccup asked worried. "We said we'd meet the gang at this time! We're gonna be late!" "Uh oh..." he replied. "Let's go!" I exclaimed quickly running toward Toothless. "Uh, Y/n..." he said laughing slightly. I looked at him confused before I noticed he couldn't walk. "Oh!" I said quickly grabbing his prosthetic and handing it to him. "Thank you milady." He said screwing it back into place. He jumped up off of the floor and jumped onto Toothless and helped me up.

He quickly turned around and kissed me, before flying off to find the others. I blushed.
