"Hey Kaza?""Yeah Nick?"Why do I have to carry all of your stuff besides one weapon I like? And why are we taking this stuff!?""Well, first I'm a thief! It's my job to loot stuff! Second you're a guy and it's your responsibility to carry all of my stuff.""Anyway can we head back to the entrance? We've already checked all the doors before, it's like were going in a circle that never ends, no matter which direction we turn.""But Nick! What if Rose-""SHE'S NOT IN THIS PART!"Kaza was shocked by the sudden rage and they proceeded to walk to the front.
On the left, Snow was being a spoiled brat. "LILY! Can we go back yet!?!""Snow! We just started! NO!""But, I'm already tired!!""Dragons be damned, NO!"They kept going back and forth until they found a dead end and were forced to turn back, and were the first ones back, so they took a rest.
Adam and I walked for quite some time, I was ahead of him for the whole while. He showed me how to use perspective again, and we used it to our fullest advantage. We both already knew it was pointless to create creatures to do the searching for us, so it was up to old fashioned lock breaking. The illusion this place perceived hadn't helped us by any means, every once in awhile we'd run into the same lock that we had just broken moments ago. This whole castle seemed like a never ending corridor... Is there some sort of pattern to the layout of the allusions? The entire place just has this odd presence, I can't quite explain what it is exactly. And then an even more perplexing thought wove its way into my mind. Why? What is the reasoning behind this whole place? I know for a fact Rose wasn't taken by coincidence, it just couldn't be possible. These 'people' waited until the right moment to strike, ever since the incident in the tavern we all tried not to leave her by herself. But the second our team made a flaw they reached for the opportunity. Another thing, why her? I mean I might be able to understand them taking someone like Kaza, Snow, or Lily, but she is something I wouldn't have expected. And now that I think about it, why is she on the journey to begin with? I'm not complaining about her being with us, in fact she is a great friend even though we met only some weeks ago. But from what I can tell she doesn't hold a quality as strong as the others do, did the King simply not realize Nicklaus could use healing spells, so he put her as the healer? I tried to remember as many details of her that I could gather to my thoughts. In the castle where we all gathered no one spoke to each other, she was messing around with her necklace, one that she always wears. When the King made us introduce ourselves she made no eye contact with him, and after she had said her name he smiled... something so meaningless but could mean anything, he found her introduction amusing? After we had left the castle her demeanor was rather cold but gave off the impression that it wasn't intentional, she was very evasive and any question that was asked of her she gave a vague answer. In the tavern when that elf... she never made a sound, though the bar was loud she definitely knew even a small scream could break her from him, it wasn't just fear. Burden, she felt like a burden? She was crying when we came to help her, but after the elf was gone and she saw that we had been injured her cries were even worse. She was apologizing for the fact we had to be involved, and shed more tears for our pain rather than her own. What's even stranger is that in a matter of seconds she had completely changed, she went from a sad, crying girl, to a level headed individual the next. She was very kind to Fendrel and when Maria ran into the burning building looking for the child Rose tried to stop her, even though it was clear that she wasn't comfortable with how Maria was treating her daughter. After Eisen she revealed her injury that she didn't wish to show anyone, I'm surprised she allowed me to know. I had never thought of how complicating this could get, but right now none of that matters, our friend is in pain, I can tell from how Snow had reacted to what her spirits showed her. But a single question keeps flooding my brain cells. "Who are you, Mila Rose Aries Magnus?" I whispered, and almost as if to respond I hear a small noise from behind an approaching door, a cry that I recognized.
