"It's been 2 days since Kookie stopped leaving letters in my locker and this is all because I left that reply. I shouldn't have said that in my letter and now I probably scared Kookie off," Taehyung complained while he was trying not to bang his head on his desk.
"Oh come on Taetae. Don't think like that. For sure Kookie is just thinking of how to reply to your request," Jimin tried to comfort his agitated best friend.
But before Taehyung could respond, the school bell rang indicating that it was lunch time. Taehyung started packing his things so that he could head over to Mr. Kim's office for lunch.
"I'll see you later after lunch Jiminie and I'm sorry if I can't go with you today."
"Don't worry about it Taetae. I'll see you later," Jiminie started heading towards the direction of the cafeteria.
"Jungkookie, how many times do I have to tell you not to drink your banana milk before meal," Taehyung heard Mr. Kim said while waiting for him to open his office door.
"Taehyungah, good thing you're here already. Come in and meet my brother-in-law, Kim Jungkook." Taehyung reached out his hands for a handshake and was surprised to see the bambi eyes of the other person.
"Hi, it's nice to meet you. I'm Kim Taehyung."
"Nice meeting you," Jungkook said with a voice too low while shaking Taehyung's hand.
"Ahem, Taehyung, please take a seat. I made some kimbap, japchae and mandu," Seokjin had to say to get the attention of the two since they're frozen while still holding each other's hand.
Jungkook was the first one to remove his hand in Taehyung's grasp and look down, which hid his beautiful eyes that prompted Taehyung to take a seat to start their meal.
"Tae, my Jungkookie here is actually an art student and will be doing your portrait which we will then use for the play." Seokjin started the conversation, seeing that his two companions don't have any plans of talking.
"Please take care of me then Jungkookssi since I don't have any experience with modeling for a painter," Taehyung said to try and get the younger's attention. Jungkook just peeked at Taehyung through his long hair that is covering his eyes before nodding shyly.
"Taehyungah, I hope you'll take care of Jungkook here because he is actually too shy to interact with others. He rarely talks even with his classmates," Seokjin said while putting mandu on Jungkook's bowl.
"You don't have to be shy around me Jungkookah. I do hope that we'll get along more in the future," Taehyung said with a big smile on his face to show the younger and hoping that it would make the younger talk to him as well.
Seokjin kept looking back and forth between the two youngsters and observed that Taehyung couldn't keep his eyes off the youngest one while Jungkook kept looking down but with obvious blush on his round cheeks.
All throughout their lunch it was just Seokjin and Taehyung who were having conversations while Jungkook would just nod or shake his head once a question would be directed towards him. Jungkook would also peek at Taehyung especially if the other's attention is elsewhere hoping that he is not being obvious but all this behavior was observed keenly by his brother-in-law.
"Thank you for the delicious food Ssaem and it was nice meeting you again Jungkookah," Taehyung was about to head back to his classroom after their lunch.
"I'm glad you enjoyed the food Taehyungah. It's quite nice to hear that someone appreciates my cooking since I won't hear that for sure from this other one," Seokjin quipped. Jungkook just stared at Seokjin with an evident pout.
"You are so cute!" Taehyung can't stop himself anymore and just proceeds with pinching Jungkook's round cheeks. Seokjin was laughing so hard seeing Jungkookie being red all over while Taehyung started walking backwards and waved goodbye. "See you around Jungkookie!"
