Being observant and perceptive are just 2 traits out of many that Jungkook acquired after being raised by the highly intelligent Namjoon and Seokjin. These are also the same traits that made Jungkook a successful painter at such an early age. Without the general public's knowledge, Jungkook is one of the most successful painters in the country just being known with the initials JK. Jungkook started painting at an early age and his artworks are always sought after but only 3 people in the world know the identity behind the painter JK. He is famous with his genre paintings that could easily capture his audience's attention because of its melancholic yet hopeful depiction of human emotions. Genre painting depicts aspects of everyday life by portraying ordinary people engaging in common activities thus being perceptive and observant would really be required for such art to be possible.
But being successful in the art world is not only the result that Jungkook achieved because of his keen perception. His keen perception also served as a useful tool for him to easily understand or figure out Taehyung's mood every time they are together. Jungkook is aware that Taehyung gets irritated if someone would approach him, that is why he is always careful in handling the situation. Jungkook himself doesn't like the attention but he can't do anything as well to stop other students from approaching him. He also doesn't like to be the cause, even if indirectly, of any negative emotion that Taehyung may feel. Jungkook also knew that this week would be crucial for the older one because it would be the last week of his rehearsals for the play thus he doesn't want to add any unnecessary stress on top of Taehyung's busy schedule. So Jungkook informed Taehyung that he won't be able to join during lunch and took this chance to finish all of his pending projects. "You mean just today right?" Taehyung asked. "I'm sorry, hyungie but I think I'll need the whole week to finish all of my projects. I'll be staying at home as well while doing it," Jungkook said while showing a sad pouty face to the older one. "But I'll be missing you during this whole week. Can't you do your projects here at school?" Taehyung asked. "I really can't hyungie but I promise I'll be here during your last dress rehearsal on Friday," Jungkook said while showing his pinky finger to do the pinky swear with Taehyung. Taehyung reluctantly accepted the pinky swear of the younger since his dress rehearsals would still be 4 days from now and having lunch with the younger one turned out to be the highlight of his day even if they get interrupted by Jungkook's countless admirers. "Don't worry hyungie. I'll still be calling you every day."
And as promised, Jungkook indeed calls Taehyung every day aside from the messages that they would exchange on a regular basis. Taehyung really appreciates that the younger one has never broken any of his promises. Jungkook would always make sure to respond to Taehyung's messages even if it's just to inform the older one that he will be busy and won't be able to use his phone for long stretches of time. It became a habit as well of Jungkook to inform Taehyung of his activity just like how the younger one informed him that as promised he will be present at the dress rehearsal but will be off the phone the whole day due to an important meeting, "Do you mean that you'll be in a meeting for a whole day? What kind of meeting is that?" Taehyung got astonished after hearing what Jungkook said over the phone. "Just the typical kind of meeting but it usually takes around 4 hours to finish since we have lunch break in the middle," Jungkook chuckled. "So what time will you arrive at school?" Taehyung eagerly asked. "My meeting starts around 10 in the morning and may end around 2 in the afternoon. So around 3 I guess," Jungkook said while going over his selection of suits. "I'll see you later then. I can't believe that I haven't seen your face for almost a whole week," Taehyung petulantly said. "I miss you too hyungie," Jungkook cheekily replied. "I did not say anything about missing you, Kookie. I'll end the call now, bye." Jungkook can only chuckle after hearing the older one's response.
"Really? Are you sure that you did not miss him?" Jimin, who was leaning on Taehyung's door, asked with a knowing smile. But instead of replying, Taehyung just pouted and went out of his room to start his day.
