If someone would ask Jungkook how he envisioned himself spending his Saturday, it would definitely not be how he is doing it right now. His answer would definitely not be him being in a car while heading to his brother's office. But that is exactly what's happening now. Jungkook is seated in the passenger seat, watching the scenery change as they travel towards SJN Entertainment's headquarters. "Why do I need to go to your office hyungie?" Jungkook asked while he's looking outside of the window.
"I just wanted to show you my newly renovated studio. I'm planning to put up some of your artwork and I want you to choose it for me. Then the rest, I'll buy it from an auction that I'm planning to attend." Namjoon could easily do it himself but he can't think of any other way to make Jungkook stay out of their house while Taehyung and Jimin are preparing for their surprise. He already did the selection for his main office and everyone who sees it would give their compliments which prompts him to proudly explain that all the artworks were made by his baby brother.
"Hmmm you could easily do that by yourself hyungie. You should have just let me stay at home and help Jinnie hyung."
"Don't you like spending time with me?" Namjoon exaggeratedly showed a sad face to Jungkook.
"Of course not, hyungie. And please, eyes on the road." Jungkook lightly reprimanded his older brother who was being goofy instead of seriously driving. Namjoon just chuckled and enjoyed the rest of the drive.
Jungkook doesn't mind helping his brother decorate his studio space, however he could appreciate it more if Namjoon gave him a heads up. He doesn't even know what the exact aesthetics his brother is planning to do and he was about to ask when he saw that they were already approaching the company building.
Namjoon slowly approached the front of the building and immediately a valet stood on standby. Namjoon and Jungkook then alighted from the car while the valet respectfully bowed to the both of them while waiting for the car keys. "Thank you, Do-yunssi. How was your wife doing? I heard that she successfully gave birth to your first child?" Namjoon said while handing over his car keys.
Namjoon is well respected by all of his employees not only because of his position in the company but also because of his humility. He may be the chairman of a big company but he would always greet his employees back and know most of their names, especially those that he would encounter on a daily basis. "They're doing great, Hwejangnim. My wife brought our son to this world safely. Thank you for asking. My wife also loves the gifts that you have given. We are so honored to receive them." The valet respectfully responded and bowed again to show his gratitude.
"I'm glad that your family likes it. The flowers were from our own garden and were picked by my husband while the drawing was made by my baby brother here," Namjoon said as a way to introduce Jungkook. Jungkook politely did a 90 degree bow to the valet which alarmed the receiver of the gesture since it is rare for someone of higher social ranking to do such a thing to him.
"My wife really loved your drawing, Jungkooknim. She placed it in our baby's nursery room."
"I'm glad to hear that Sir."
"We will go ahead, Do-yunssi. Congratulations on having your son."
That simple interaction was the very reason why everyone loves and respects the Kim family. Namjoon is always equally respectful to all his employees regardless of what position they hold in his company. The same thing could be said to his husband Seokjin because every time he would come to the company, he would pleasantly greet back the employees and smile sweetly at them. While for those who have encountered Jungkook during the rare times he is at the company, they would always see how polite and well mannered he is. Anybody who gets to meet Jungkook would always see how he was raised properly. If asked, they would always say how sweet, soft spoken, respectful and humble the youngest member of the Kim family is. It can easily be said that because of these traits, the Kim family would always have loyal people around them and people that would always admire them.
"Take a look at my studio, Kookie. What do you think?" Namjoon took a seat on his swivel chair and waited for Jungkook's response. The younger one was inspecting all corners of the room, especially how the mood light was strategically placed around it. He then observed the overall color scheme of the room to visualize the art pieces that could go well with it. "Do you have a list of art pieces that you are still choosing from or perhaps a list of pieces that you are planning to buy from the auction?"
When it comes to visual art, both brothers have different tastes. But Jungkook would always be able to understand his brother's preference and can easily work on it. "Well, the auction house has given me this catalog and I have some photos of your artwork that I hadn't used when I last redecorated my main office." Namjoon is glad that he could easily use art to distract his baby brother and he really thinks that this mission would be a success. He knows how thorough Jungkook is when it comes to art and he would really take the task of decorating his studio seriously.
So for the whole morning Namjoon and Jungkook spent time deciding the art pieces to display in Namjoon's studio. Namjoon took advantage of having Jungkook by discussing the catalog that was given to him and deciding which pieces should he bid on. The brothers bonded over art which is a topic that they wouldn't ever run out of things to discuss about. Namjoon also took Jungkook to his main office to show how he displayed the art pieces that the younger one has gifted to him over the years.
They were spending some quality time together until Namjoon received the signal to go home, "Baby, it's now clear for you and Kookie to go home." "Alright, my love. We'll be there in a bit. Time to go home, Kookie."
