Waking up to the beautiful sound of birds singing while being cuddled tightly is one of Jungkook's favorites. He can't help but smile while lying awake in his lover's embrace. He gave himself a few minutes of just lying still while looking at his lover's handsome face and took that chance to recall the events that happened this past couple of days. Jungkook started from the day that he received his lover's call asking him to request a week off from work because unfortunately his Seokjin hyung's worry happened. Taehyung had to leave Seoul because he started to feel suffocated. After Taehyung's interview got aired, he still kept receiving new offers for endorsements and other projects but unfortunately he kept getting followed even during his personal time. It wouldn't have been a problem if his fans would only swarm into official events to show their support, however there were multiple instances that sasaengs would approach him during his downtime. The last straw that made Taehyung decide to step back from the limelight was when a sasaeng showed up in his penthouse. That same day, Taehyung made a call to Namjoon and reported what happened which made the elder decide to have Taehyung fly to Paris and stay with Jungkook for a while.
Jungkook knows how Taehyung loves acting and both of them are also aware of the pros and cons once the elder would enter the film or broadcast industry but it still came as a shock when there are people who chose to violate his lover's privacy. Jungkook only wanted Taehyung to be happy but when he fetched the elder at the airport a couple of days ago, he was clearly not. He saw how his lover was so disappointed and he remembered what the elder said upon arrival, "I have asked multiple times for my privacy to be respected but there were still a number of people who chose to disregard my requests. I'll use the word people because clearly they're not my fans." Jungkook can only hug his boyfriend tightly while responding, "The company already issued an official statement regarding what happened and they're also investigating a possible inside job. Joonie hyung is also thinking about handling your matters personally since he doesn't want a repeat of this incident. You should have agreed with his initial plan of being your manager instead of worrying what the other artist's reaction would be because of the preferential treatment you'll get." "I wasn't worrying about that. I'm worried that he'll get busier, that's why I declined his offer. And if indeed it was my manager who sold my penthouse address to sasaengs then he made a big mistake since he clearly disregarded the NDA that I had him sign. If not for this incident, I would really be enjoying my acting career right now, " Taehyung sighed. "That is really what I can't understand. Like why do they still have to stalk you when you were so active and responsive on social media," Jungkook said while shaking his head. "I don't want to think about that anymore. I know I just need to be away from all that chaos and once I'm fully recharged, I can go back and be in the limelight again," Taehyung said with resolve.
Since their plan is for Taehyung to recharge, Jungkook took the week off and they decided to rent an RV for the road trip that they always wanted to do. They immediately went on the road the first day that Taehyung arrived in Paris and now they're in Strasbourg. Jungkook and Taehyung both love travelling to experience different local cuisine, art and culture. Jungkook wanted to cheer Taehyung, thus they had a whole day of exploring the city by walking around La Petite France, going inside Cathédrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg and visiting the Alsatian Museum. They took their time in immersing themselves to the culture of a quaint medieval city by tasting the Alsatian cuisine and wine while enjoying their never ending conversation. Jungkook is now enjoying his quiet time of just observing a sleeping Taehyung and marveling at his lover's well-shaped eyebrows, well-defined nose, kissable red lips and smooth honey toned cheeks. "I can't wait for my apprenticeship to end so that I can always be with you," Jungkook whispered to his sleeping boyfriend.
"I also want to always be with you," Taehyung responded in his deep voice and proceeded to cuddle Jungkook tighter. "Good morning, Jagiya. I'm sorry if I woke you up," Jungkook greeted his boyfriend with a peck on his lips. Taehyung reciprocated with a kiss of his own but this time it's a much longer one, "Good morning my love. Should we start getting ready so that we can arrive early in Basel?" "Take a shower then while I'll prepare our breakfast," Jungkook instructed then gave a last big hug to Taehyung before going out of bed to start the breakfast preparations. Even if money would never be an issue for them, the couple still decided against staying at hotels during their travels. They prefer to stay in the luxurious RV that they rented so that they can stay near nature as much as possible. It will just take about 2 hours to drive from Strasbourg to Basel thus they took their time in enjoying their morning routine and breakfast. Jungkook is so happy that Taehyung is taking a much needed break and that the elder is willing to spend a lot of his day walking around museums and old French towns. Jungkook loves taking Taehyung to various museums and get the elder's perspective about the art pieces that they get to see because his lover would always have a unique point of view.
The couple started getting back on the road after their sumptuous breakfast of croissants, sausages, cheese and coffee. Taehyung took the driver seat since Jungkook was the one who drove the previous day. They are planning to stay for two days in Basel so that they can go to multiple museums and join art auctions as well. "I don't really have any space for new art pieces right now, Jagiya. So I think it's best if we skip the auctions since I can't trust my self control," Jungkook rambled while playing with the fingers of Taehyung's right hand. "No need for self control, my love. Before going here, I already asked Yoongi hyung to look for a new place and I saw his message earlier showing the house that he got for us. We actually have a lot of space to decorate," Taehyung stated after placing a kiss on Jungkook's hand. "Are you that confident that Joonie hyung would allow me to move in with you?" Jungkook teased his lover who is currently placing small pecks on his hand while still keeping his eyes on the road. "Of course he'll agree because we'll be married by that time. Do you really think I'll let you stay single for that long?" Taehyung countered with confidence. "So you want me to decorate a house that you want us to stay in after marriage but you haven't even done any proposal yet? I'm sorry mister but I'm still expecting a proposal even if we both know what my answer would be," Jungkook grumbled.
The 2 hours drive was filled with harmless bickering between the young couple until they arrived in Basel. Jungkook then started dragging Taehyung from one museum to another and had a lot of fun looking at art pieces done by various masters. "What is this exactly that I'm looking at?" Taehyung softly asked to Jungkook. They are currently standing in front of a light blue wall with 2 round clocks hanging on it. "Perfect Lovers by Felix Gonzales-Torres. The 2 clocks are displayed to be synchronised which symbolises how love starts with the couple being in sync like the strong unit that they are until at some point one of them slows down and eventually stops. The slowing down can be interpreted as the natural course of life wherein someone dies or it can be the break in the couple's relationship," Jungkook solemnly explained. "Then let me promise you one thing, my love. We can be like this 2 clocks right now and continue ticking in sync but if time will come that one of us would start ticking slower then be assured that I'll immediately look for the battery that would resolve such problem. Just like this 2 clocks, it is natural for one or both of them to slow down as time goes by and the same thing can be said about our relationship but trust me when I say that I will work with you until we get to be sync again," Taehyung said while smiling softly at Jungkook. "Then let me promise you this as well. Just like how we always check our clocks to know the time, I promise that I would constantly check on you and on us to make sure that we would always be ticking in sync even if we would be in different timezones," Jungkook stated while looking directly in Taehyung's eyes.
Taehyung and Jungkook had a wonderful time in Basel. They went to 10 different museums and Jungkook was able to buy a couple of art pieces that really evoke a deep connection with him. After their stay on Basel, the couple then went to Bern where they decided to stay for another 2 days. The couple enjoyed exploring and hiking the trails on Gurten where they get to see the mountaneous nature around them. They then had a relaxing day in Rosengarten where they enjoyed the splendid pond while having a romantic picnic. After their memorable road trip of 5 days, the couple decided to go back to Paris and spend the rest of Taehyung's vacation there. The couple talked about a lot of future plans during their road trip but they avoided talking about Taehyung's acting career. There seems to be a consensus between them not to talk about work but rather about more travel plans or plans in general on how they'll be spending their time with each other. It is a known fact that their couple goal is: Be with each other.
