Engaged

Taehyung took a deep breath while surveying the room that he just finished decorating. He prepared some flowers, candles and a bottle of white wine which are now aesthetically placed all throughout their living room and balcony. The candles are actually the flameless LED candle type so that he can just leave them turned on while he goes out to fetch Jungkook. He is planning to fetch Jungkook from work then visit some shops in the nearest open market and buy some food that they could eat at home. He could easily order for a catering service but he wanted to spend time walking hand in hand with Jungkook around the open market and go from one store to another. After he is certain that everything is set, Taehyung left their apartment building to fetch Jungkook.

Taehyung didn't need to wait that long since after 10 minutes of standing outside Jungkook's workplace, he can now see his baby bunny running towards his direction. "I missed you, Jagiya. What are you doing here? Did I forget that we planned something tonight?" Jungkook asked after greeting Taehyung with a kiss. "No bunny, I just wanted to go to the open market with you and perhaps we could stroll around before we have dinner at home," Taehyung stated while hugging his baby bunny that he missed so much after just an 8 hour of being apart. "Let's go then, hyungie. I think we are also due for grocery shopping since we are low on fruits, cheese and eggs at home."

The couple then held hands and started walking towards the direction of the nearest open market. It is starting to get colder at night since Paris is now approaching the autumn season but the couple still enjoys the cool weather while sticking close to each other. Taehyung enjoys holding his baby bunny's small hands or rather small compared to his own and he loves watching their intertwined hands because it shows how they easily fit each other. "Why are you so quiet today, Jagiya? Is there something wrong?" Jungkook asked while showing his doe eyes and pouty lips. "No, my love. I'm just enjoying the way your hand fits in mine," Taehyung brought their intertwined hands near his lips and kissed the back of Jungkook's hand. Jungkook can only smile shyly while burying his blushing cheeks in Taehyung's chest. And such cute actions made Taehyung smile from ear to ear.

Doing simple tasks together such as getting groceries are one of the things that the couple enjoy and right now they are buying some peaches and raspberries since just like what Jungkook said earlier they will be needing fruits at home. "Should we buy 1kilogram for each fruit? We can make smoothies every morning or freshly squeezed juice," Jungkook asked while selecting the fruits carefully. "We can do that and let's buy some cheese and sausages as well. Then let's also get some takeout afterwards," Taehyung reminded the younger one. After spending almost an hour buying food and groceries, the couple decided to go home but a flowerstand caught the attention of Taehyung who decided to buy another bouquet of fresh flowers even if he already prepared some at home.

"Why tulips, hyungie?" Jungkook curiously looked at the selection of tulips in Taehyung's hands. "Because tulips mean deep and perfect love. Just like what I feel for you," Taehyung stated while handing over the bouquet of tulips to Jungkook. "I truly and deeply love you too, Jagiya." Jungkook responded accompanied by a kiss.

Now both of them are in front of their apartment and Taehyung is getting anxious about the younger's reaction once he opens the door. But all of his anxiousness fades away upon seeing the elated look on his lover's face. Jungkook's face clearly shows how he got surprised by the special ambiance of their apartment and can immediately tell what it is all about.

Taehyung took that chance to put aside all the things that they bought in the open market and calmed his racing heart a bit. Taehyung can see that Jungkook is now standing in the middle of the room admiring the decorations that he prepared so he took that cue to proceed to the next stage of his plan.

Taehyung walked slowly towards Jungkook and hugged him from the back then proceeded to tell him the reason behind the surprise, "I don't exactly know how to express my thoughts and feelings into words. I'm afraid that my words will never be enough to convey how thankful I am to have you in my life. I'm so thankful to have you throughout these years that we are growing up. I'm so blessed to be loved by you so much that I hope the day that your love stops will never come. I know we are still young and we are just starting our 20s but I'm afraid that I'm too possessive of you that I don't want to ever let you go. I'm sorry if my words are inadequate to explain how much I love you but if you'll give me a chance I will show it to you through everything that I do and through the years that you'll be willing to spend with me. So while we are still young and are still navigating through our adulthood, will you be willing my Kookie to grow together with me until our very last day? Will you marry me?"

Jungkook turned around to face Taehyung and he couldn't help but tear up after seeing the love deeply showing in his lover's eyes. "You know that I am yours right from the start and I don't care if you get possessive of me. I will always love the way you show your possessiveness towards me. And as promised I will always be with you. And I would love to be married to you." Jungkook then grabbed Taehyung's face in both of his hands and showed his overwhelming happiness through a kiss. A kiss where they poured all the love and happiness that words can't express. A kiss so magical that they don't ever want it to end but since they're only human and need air to live they had to stop for awhile but still remained connected in a tight hug.

"I didn't prepare an engagement ring, my love since what I bought is our wedding rings. So instead I bought this bracelet that symbolizes my goal and that is to be with you for an infinite amount of moments in our lives," Taehyung softly stated while showing the bracelet that he bought.

"There is no need for an engagement ring since I'll get to wear your wedding ring. And I look forward to sharing an infinite amount of moments with you. I love you, Yeobo, " Jungkook sweetly said while Taehyung was putting the bracelet on his wrist. "Nado saranghae nae sarang," Taehyung softly whispered before sealing it with a kiss.

The rest of the night was spent eating the takeout food that they bought with their favorite white wine while enjoying the cool weather on their balcony. They started talking about their wedding plans as well and how they should share the good news to their family. It is indeed safe to say that the young couple are more than excited to the next stage of their life that they'll be sharing.
