While Leni was dealing with her inner deceptions and lies, Bongbong was out there with his lifelong pals, enjoying a round of golf in the bright afternoon light. It was his turn to throw the ball, but for some reason, he was unable to successfully complete the throw. It fell a significant distance away from where it should have been.
"Shit, pare," Isko cussed over his bud's failure. "Pangatlo mo na yan ah? Ba't parang wala ka sa sarili mo ngayon?"
"Isa pa ngang sparkled water, please..." Migz told the waiter before shifting his gaze to Marcos who seemed to be out of his senses. "Diba dumating kahapon si Louise galing California? Ba't parang matamlay ka dyan?"
"Yeah, she did," tipid nitong sagot at mariing kinunot ang mata nang tumama ang sikat ng araw sa kanyang mukha habang pabalik sa kanyang upuan.
"Well, the make-up sex was probably good last night, no?" Escudero nicked his fun off before standing up and taking his brownie point throwing the bat confidently. "Should've been just a bad day. Tutal, it's not the first time you missed a shot."
"Correction, first time in a long time," Jinggoy, who just came out from the bathroom, butted in the moment he got the point of their conversation. He sat beside him and took the liberty of moving his chair to face him straight. "Come on Bong, what happened?"
"Nothing," he almost raised his voice in annoyance over their opinions.
"Ikaw pa galit niyan ha, we just care about you dude," Migz retorted.
Isko uttered with a playful smirk plastered on his face, "Ay, alam ko na."
"Oh, ano?" Jinggoy and the rest of the boys turned their heads on him.
He imitated a magic swoosh tone and jested, "Leni Robredo."
"Gago, off-limits yun pag-usapan tanga," Chiz slapped Isko's chest and everyone chuckled in agreement.
He clicked his tongue, "Pero hindi naman dinedeny netong kaibigan natin, hmm?"
The Manila mayor continued to nudge the arm of the former senator, but there was no significant response coming from him.
"See? Silence means yes," he chortled confidently.
"Phew, okay," Migz breathed out, getting ready for a lengthy, drama, word war between the boys and Marcos. "Permission to speak up?"
"Granted," Bongbong half-whispered.
"What happened?" he straightforwardly asked him. The rest of the men at the table was ready to listen to him talking.
He breathed out and spoke, "She saw us last night."
"Pfft," Jinggoy reacted first. "Yun lang? Hindi naman bago sa kanya yun. Ba't ikaw tong parang hindi pa sanay?"
"It was quite new because she didn't even look at me," he said lowly through gritted teeth.
"Hindi ako informed na attention seeker ka na pala ngayon," Isko retorted, making everyone, except Bong, crack up a bit.
Chiz butted in and also voiced out his thoughts, "Thirty years, pare. Pinasakay mo si Leni ng tatlumpung-taon. Your damn relationship with Louise had lasted for 25 years till now. And what...you, two married people, decided to live under the same roof for the last ten years. You're not responsible nor have the right to care now."
