The fact that Leni was able to get a good night's rest despite everything that had happened that day is nothing short of a miracle. She was able to push Bongbong's proposition out of her mind and instead concentrate on getting ready for the next day and improving herself. To be perfectly honest, she wasn't the least bit surprised by the sudden irrationality that he conveyed.

She can run, but she can't hide for too long. Now that smoke of uncertainty showed up, she shouldn't be too confident. She once denied it, but she can't just deny it forever. It took exactly two minutes after she got out of it and proceeded to the main venue of their gathering.

"Oh Good Lord, is this real? Leni, ikaw ba yan?" their beloved Dean Raul Fabella suddenly uttered, making everyone in her batch look at her way.

"Sir Dean, hello po!" at the sight of her block mates and friends in that area, he beamed and rushed to their dean's arms as she hugged her tightly. "Hi, everyone!"

"Jusko, buti naman nakarating ka after so many years!" Donnette, who was one of her study buddies before, butted into the conversation.

"Sorry, D. Ngayon lang nakaluwag-luwag," she let out a hefty chuckle.

"Hindi ka man lang nagpasabi na darating ka," if her memory serves her right, a certain Loren uttered.

"I want to surprise everyone so..." she giggled. "Anyway, am I late? Nag-start na ba kayo?"
