It is election day, and the VP is at a school in Camarines Sur. She is sitting calmly in one of the monoblock seats that has been designated for them while she quietly waits for her chance to vote. Even though it was still early, a large number of people had already arrived and were searching for their names in the precinct lists. They were also jotting down their names as voters as they fell in line and waited for their turn.
Although Leni is physically present in Naga, her thoughts and emotions are still in Manila, particularly with Bongbong Marcos and that impulsive night they spent together.
"Why are you staring at me?" she chuckled with her eyes half-open.
He scoffed, "I'm not."
"Still a liar till the end," Leni chortled yet kept her face close to Bongbong's bare chest, planting small, lazy kisses on it.
"I just now realize how stupid it was of me to let you go," he looked away, trying not to be seen by Leni as a tear escaped from his eye.
"That's how probably life gives people lessons," feeling his want to go unnoticed, she respected that by joking even though Leni heard sobs and sniffs from him. She heard him let out a laugh right after.
"Bakit mo ako hinalikan?" Bongbong questioned her out of the blue.
"Dahil..." her fingers started to trail on his hands, slowly running up his shoulders while she was talking. "...nagmakaaawa kang umuwi ako sa bahay nating hindi mo pinabayaan at pinagsinungalingan mo pa kay Louise, not that I condemn that...and probably because you requested a painter to draw me in a portrait and got it delivered days ago."
"Y-you saw that?" gulat na tanong ni Bongbong.
Leni looked up and met his eyes before nodding as she went back again cuddling him, "And because you thought that the talk we were supposed to be having tonight is going to go well."
"Yet it did..." he confusingly uttered making Leni laugh.
"This...this didn't go the way I planned, Marcos," she truthfully uttered. "I just plainly wanted to talk. But there you were, standing so handsome on my office's doorstep as if we're going on a date, enthralling me with your presence, plus with all that flowers and facts Manang Rosa told me that night...I was left with no choice but to kiss you."
"Araw-arawin ko nga," Bongbong confidently made fun of her.
"Siraulo," mahina nitong hinampas ang dibdib ni Bongbong at tumawa.
"Then tell me about it now," he started to caress her hair strand by strand as she started to talk.
"Ayokong magmukhang sumbungera or what, but I just thought that the best person to talk about this was you," Leni truthfully confessed. "Imee's blackmailing me about the one billion dollar proposal that we had."
