Bongbong first left the room after giving one last hug to Leni. He started looking for a blind spot where Leni could still see her from afar. Pinupunasan naman ng bise ang sariling mga mata at hinayaang tumuyo ito at nirelax ang kanyang mukha just to avoid looking puffy or teary-eyed as she faces the camera.
Bam, amidst the somersault feels he was feeling at the moment, hugged Leni as she came into the set. Kit only squeezed Leni's hand as she mouthed 'thank you' to him and he just stared and nodded minutes after.
She felt quite fortunate to be accompanied by a female journalist as well as a reporter. To clarify, it wasn't her nor her party's choice; rather, it was the management's decision. It was difficult to pull strings now to select who would dare to interview the most talked-about figure in the media as of the present day. She didn't really care who would be her interviewer, so they might have drawn lots or done anything else.
"Good morning, Madam VP..." nahihiyang tugon ni Karen.
They both fixed their microphones and then Karen turned to her. "Ready ka na po ba?"
"Well, let's get to it," she shrugged and forced to do a smile in front of the camera as the director started to do rolling signs and counted the both of them off.
They all began with greetings and kamustahans from the election period, asking how she was coping with the loss, what were her insights about the frontrunners of today's tally, and other topics associated with the election and its aftermath. They looked back on a few memorable moments before getting into the meat of what this live show, shown to all streaming platforms available, was really all about.
"Now with the controversy that has been revealed just yesterday...deretsahang tanong para sa mga nag-aantay nating kababayan, Ma'am Leni. Minahal mo ba si Bongbong Marcos?" Karen authoritatively fired at her.
"In all honesty, I originally didn't, Karen," she replied. "It was just pure business and on paper.
"Wait, you're married for thirty years yet you just decided to live together the last eleven years ago, am I right?" Karen sought clarification.
"Yes. So the 19 years at that, I was tied up to a ghost I practically didn't see. I could still continue my studies and graduate and do things I wanna do, so hindi siya naging hassle for a start," Leni truthfully uttered. But I'm from Naga so meet-ups doesn't really make sense. Nung medyo kaya na namin ihandle yung mga bagay bagay as adults, we finished schooling, our degrees are complete, like may pangalan na ako sa local government mga ganun...one time umuwi siya from Australia, I was called up by his mom and she shared to me that Marcos will reside in the Philippines for good. She decided na we'll make up for lost time and consummate our marriage. Kaya as a welcoming gift, may binigay siyang bahay sa'min kaya saka lang kami tumira sa iisang bubong."
