It was just another morning of misery for Leni as she continues to struggle to adjust to their separation. She drank her coffee, went to bed at the usual time, and woke up after exactly nine hours of sleep, but she never felt physically well. But then, the heart can sometimes dominate the mind, and as each day passes, the internal calvary that she is experiencing adds another layer of pain, making it increasingly difficult for her to bear with it. Nevertheless, life continues, regardless of whether or not Bongbong Marcos is a part of hers.

"Manang Rosa!" she giggled as she saw their maid just as she arrived and stepped out of her parked car. She hugged her tightly and pulled away after a second. "Kamusta ho kayo?"

Leni asked her maid.

She wanted to say.

"Hindi ka naman siguro masyadong malulungkot kasi may bago namang papalit sa'kin dito, Manang," she tried to jolly up their mood as they walked towards the inside of her old house.

"She'll eventually learn. I mean, dapat lang sigurong matutunan niyang makipagkaibigan sa inyo. Probably in months' time, she'll be a wife," she said, trying not to sound bitter and regretful.

"Well...maybe that's just the way it is, Manang. I'm sure magkikita pa tayo ulit somewhere," Leni comforted her as she rubbed her hand on her back.

"Sana nga po," her lips formed a thin line, trying to smile for her boss.

Eagerly removing her blazers, only leaving her silky spaghetti sando top on as she raised her arms and formed a messy bun using only a pencil over her head, she took a deep breath and tried to absorb all the positive energy inside her, "Now, will you help me pack up my remaining things?"

The maid just nodded and smiled reassuringly at her. During their journey through Leni's room and office, Manang Rosa called out the names of precisely four of the girls. She suddenly became aware that there were far, far too many things to pack. Not only her clothing but also her furniture and her household goods. Due to the fact that her condo is relatively limited in space for frivolous items, it is likely that she will only keep a few of the larger ones.

Leni was busy sorting out things on what to bring while Manang was cleaning and wiping those. They both asked the rest of the girls to get some big boxes to serve as an organizer and to gather all the chosen ones in one place. As the VP heard the loud tick-tock of their shoes, she reprimanded the maids.
