"Bong, kailan ka babalik sa pangangampanya? Nahahalata na tayo dito oh..." Martin Romualdez, one of his cousins and his campaign managers jested through the phone.

"Two days from now, probably. I'm still knotting things up with Louise. The wedding propaganda is quite effective though," he vented out his observation. Well, he wasn't lying.

"Let's not depend on that, cousin. Let's still put our best efforts into this. Minsan ka lang makita ng mga tao, once you're president, you won't be doing much ground work," he advised.

"Busy lang talaga ako, Martin. Hindi naman ako tumatakas or anything," bumangon na si Bongbong sa kanyang pagkakahiga sa kama at naglakad patungong kusina.

"Fine, keep tabs on us okay?" Martin uttered.

"Huy, BBM! Balik ka na dito, miss ka na namin!" narinig naman niya ang boses ng katambal na si Sara. It nicked a laugh out of him. She was always this cheerful and funny.

"Bukas makalawa, Sara," he chortled.

"Heh, nageenjoy ka na masyado dyan e," he could hear her playful resentment through the phone. "Joke lang, enjoy kayo lovebirds! Keri lang namin to dito. Send my regards to Louise."

"Hey, Sara!" nang marinig ni Louise ang pangalan ay agad nitong nilapit ang telepono sa kanyang mapapangasawa. "Sorry for stealing your president for quite some time."

"Nako, okay lang Liz. No worries. Di na yan kailangan mangampanya, kasal niyo pa lang tunog panalo na," both of the ladies chuckled as Louise went back to her baking.

"Oh, pano ba yan, tumawag lang kami para mangamusta. We'll hang up now, the parade's about to start, dude," Martin got control again of his phone.

"Sige, ingat kayo," he bid his goodbyes as he ended the call.

Just in the nick of time, Louise extracted her banana boat tarts from the oven. They were freshly baked, and Bongbong thought they smelled delicious and were good for him. While he was chewing on his food, she didn't seem to mind that he was gnawing on it while he was drinking his coffee as he tried to get one with a spoon and fork. After carefully arranging it on the plate, she cleaned up the flour and ingredient messes left behind, and then she and her partner finally sat down to enjoy a meal together.

He started to open up a conversation after consuming one piece of her pastry, "Liz, I-"

She knew what he was going to say resulting to cutting him off again as early as possible, steering it off the proposed topic, "I'm leaving for Paris today. I'll be back two days before our wedding para makapag-beauty rest pa 'ko. That would be alright, right?"

It was clear as the day that she didn't wanna talk about it. Bongbong doesn't want to start their day with an argument, thus he just went into the flow too, "Okay. Didiretso ka na ng Batangas after landing?"
