"Joder, Louise," Kit muttered under his breath. "I shouldn't have gotten involved with you."

"Hindi ba masyado nang late para dyan, Kit?" she huffed at him.

"I shouldn't have done it," the congressman was pacing back and forth in front of Louise who was hiding behind her sunglasses, avoiding people to come after her.

"Done what?" Louise queued.

"It was me. I was the one who leaked that photo. And all because I was angry...fuck it!" he angrily squatted and raked his fingers on his head, squeezing it tightly.

The attorney believed that Imee was solely responsible for it, just as they had planned to do in their plot. Yet to her surprise, mukhang may ginawang ambag din pala ang isa sa mga piyesa niyang napaka-diskumpyadong gumalaw dahil sa takot na mabuking ng bise.

"The moment Imee ticked the press to release it, everything went down the drain. You are in no way to blame for this," Louise crossed her arms and legs.

Dahil naiwan niya yung phone niya sa sasakyan, dali-dali akong bumaba ng van at tinakbo iyon pabalik sa kanya. Then poof, I saw them. I was exhausted, and I was only thinking about myself, so I took a picture of them and then sent it to them in complete secrecy the following day."

It was true. Kit was very enraged to see the both of them together that night in the office. Sa sobrang pagkatanga nito ay nanatili siya sa labas ng kanyang opisina, dahilan upang marinig ang usapan nilang dalawa tungkol sa pananakot sa kanya ni Imee. It angered him to know that all this time that he was by her side, she never thought of seeking help from him amidst of the knowledge that he had about the matter, yet she chose to settle the issue down with the man he once married with.

"Wow, so ikaw pala ang dapat kong pasalamatan," she uttered in. a sarcastic manner. "Nang dahil sa ginawa mo, ako ang pinaka-kinakaawaan ng buong Pilipinas ngayon."

"Kung makapagsalita ka, akala mo hindi ikaw ang utak ng lahat ng ito," Kit uttered through gritted teeth. "I should've known when I saw you at Solaire."

"Nagpagamit ka naman," she rebutted. "Besides, you benefited from it. You were by her side the whole time."

She used almost everyone, including Kit, as pawns on her chess board. Kit desired to have Leni all to himself, while Imee's goal was to shred Leni into tiny pieces. Because Louise wanted Bongbong for herself as well, she exploited and used these feelings to her advantage in order to come to her aid in breaking the invisible bond that united the two of them. She wanted everything, body, mind, reputation, and soul, in the same way that they were in the beginning when they first started developing feelings for one another. But at this point, it seems as though everything is heading in the wrong direction.

"Shut up," he breathlessly jested, feeling the guilt and regret get on his nerves. "Biniyayaan tayo ng katalinuhan tapos ginagamit lang natin sa masama? We can do better than this. We should have done better than this."

"That's what you get when you expect too much, Kit," Louise nonchalantly spoke. "Pero ako? The moment I saw that official divorce document in one of Bongbong's drawers? I stopped hoping."
