Amidst hitting herself over Kit's wrecking ball of realization, Leni hadn't come to terms with her own feelings yet.

She seemed to be flummoxed. How could she possibly love someone who lives in the same house as her but never does anything more than look at her emotionlessly from a distance? Not even a brush of the hand, a peck on the cheek, or a squeeze of the fingers was carried out? How could she possibly love someone who, throughout their entire marriage, went home cold every single day and, if that wasn't enough, brought a large number of other women into his room to fuck them? How is it possible to call something 'love' when all they both do is just lead each other's different lives without taking into account each other's perspectives when making decisions?

Leni pushed the assumption away and went on with her life as she's now about to fixate on what Kit and she have.

Finally, the lad picked up her call after seven rings, "Hello Kit...um...tungkol kagabi, gusto ko lang-"

"I'm sorry for being harsh on you last night, Leni." he cut her off.

"U-uy...bakit ikaw yung nagsosorry? Ako dapat ang magsorry sa'yo. Sa sobrang lay-off ko sa relasyon natin, hindi na kita napapakiramdaman," pagtatapat ng bise sa kongresista.

"I should have been more considerate with you. I should have thought that five months of being in a relationship with another doesn't easily mend a 30-year broken marriage. Maybe it'll take forever, even. Kaya I'm really sorry," Kit elaborated.

"Well, apology accepted," Leni let out a small chortle. "So...we're good?"

She heard him chuckle on the other line, "We're always good, Leni. No matter what."

Leni breathed out, "We'll just...try to communicate more I guess? You know, let me know about what you prefer or what you want. Mga ganung bagay, para maiwasan natin maulit pa 'tong mga ganito."

"Yeah. I think so too. Besides, we still have to work together for a week or so. The campaign's not over yet," sambit ng kongresista.

"You're definitely right," Leni replied. Before he could talk back, she remembered something that she wanted to tell him. "Ano pala Kit...libre ka ba ngayon?"

Kit uttered, "I'm on my way home and I don't have things to do na so I think that's a yes, why?"

"Kain tayo sa Sofitel," pag-aaya ni Leni. "May dalawang gift pass kasi ako for tonight's special Japanese cuisine bigay to nung isang supporter kanina. Inaya ko si Kiko tsaka yung mga tiga Tropang Angat kaso ayun, may mga family commitment."

"Are you sure it's okay for me to come?" the congressman double-checked.

"At bakit naman hindi, inaya ka nga diba?" the VP chortled. "Sige na, sayang kasi e. Bukas sana dapat kaso di na pwede kasi yung date na nakalagay is pang-ngayon."

Kit sighed playfully just to make Leni's heart thump in nervousness, "Okay. Fine, I'll go with you."

"Yes! Pinakaba mo pa talaga ako ha," she giggled. "I'm driving home right now, I'll just drop my things sa condo then quick bihis and such then I'll be there. Maybe...8? Is that okay with you?"
