Eun-Ji had been gone for a few hours at this point, and San was beginning to become worried. He had called her four times with no response. San's head went through all the possibilities when he suddenly heard the door. He whipped his head around to see his younger sister, "Where the hell have you been?" He demanded an answer. Eun-Ji lost track of time while she was with Yeosang. She didn't dare tell her brother where she truly was.
"I was at the library doing my own research. Sorry, thought I texted," Eun-Ji shrugged and dropped her bag to the floor before closing the door behind her. It hurt her heart to look her brother dead in the eyes and lie. But she had no idea what would happen if he found out that her and Jung Yeosang were now officially a couple.
San scoffed, "well, did you find anything?"
"If I did, I would have called," Eun-Ji responded, "What's got you so worked up? I could feel your nerves when I walked in,"
San looked away instantly, "I'm fine," He lied. Eun-Ji knew San, and therefore knew when he was lying, "I think I found a lead... Another family was killed. Left only one survivor... Name is... Kim Hongjoong," San read off the screen and Eun-Ji raised a brow.
"Let me see it," She snatched the computer from him and began scrolling through, mumbling as she read what was written in the article, "Doesn't seem like our demons. The description isn't the same as what we went through," Eun-Ji pointed out and slumped back into her chair.
"No... but maybe it could lead us closer to them," San explained, looking back to his sister, "I vote we talk to this... Kim Hongjoong and see what he knows and what he saw,"
"And how do you expect us to get that from him?" Eun-Ji scoffed.
"We tell him the truth. Maybe if we... I don't know, sympathized? He would be more likely to open up," San explained just as his phone buzzed. He reached for his phone that was face down on the table in front of them and picked it up, seeing a message from Woo Young.
Jung Woo Young
"I can't stop thinking about you, San.
Let's meet. Please. Same spot, I'll be there
in 10."
San froze at the message but set his phone down without responding, his heart pounding against his chest. He shook it off, "Work on getting more information on him, will you? I need to get out for a bit," San lied.
Eun-Ji cocked her head to the side, "Okay....? That was sudden," she commented as San slipped on his shoes and a black jacket.
"I'll be back in a bit. Lock the door and don't open it for anyone, got it?" San demanded with his hand resting on the door knob.
"Uh, sure," Eun-Ji was obviously confused, but San didn't care to explain himself more. Content with his sisters answer, he left. Eun-Ji locked the door behind him.
...
San arrived at the same spot Woo Young and him had met earlier that day. The sun was now beginning to set. He was a bit early for their meeting time, so he sat and waited, listening to the sound of the lake and wind while still watching for threats.
"San..." San turned to the voice to meet Woo Young and San stood.
"Woo-"
Woo Young interrupted him by pressing a single finger to his lips, then grabbing his hand, "Come with me,"
San was hesitant but allowed Woo Young to guide him down the street, still holding his hand with a firm grip. Woo Young directed him down a small, dimly lit alley, "Woo Young what are we doing?" San was interrupted by Woo Young pushing him into the brick wall behind him, planting his hands next to San's face, "Woo..."
