Seonghwa pushed the long needle into Yunho's arm, forcing holy water into him. "G'rahh!" Yunho groaned out in pain, clenching his large hand into a fist. Beads of sweat formed against his forehead as he fought through the pain, trying desperately to get away from the hunter. Yunho whipped his head up, eyes glowing a pure black and his teeth clenched as he glared into Seonghwa's eyes.
Seonghwa had read in one of his studies that a demon's emotions can be resurrected through the injection of holy water, but he had never tried it. Now, he had the perfect candidate, sat and prepped for him to test the theory. He pulled the needle out and set it down, dusting his hands off, "So, Yunho," Seonghwa began, "Tell me about your life," He leaned against the counter, picking up another needle full of holy water.
Yunho's breathing was raspy, his eyes flicked back to their human-like brown, "Hwa, baby.. You don't want to know about my life," He smirked, his damp black hair fell in front of his eyes, "I've killed so many. I've taken so many souls," Seonghwa looked the male in the eyes. He could see he was breaking, but fighting it to the last nerve. He let out a sly chuckle before walking up. Yunho sat up straight as Seonghwa planted his hands on the arms of the chair, inches way from the demons face, "Well, isn't this seductive. Go ahead and kiss me if you're gonna look at me like that," Yunho teased.
Seonghwa smirked slightly, then lifted the hand with the needle and stabbed Yunho in the arm again. Yunho growled as he clenched his jaw and closed his eyes tight, "Did you have a family?" He inquired, seeing if he could hit the right nerve to truly test his theory. Yunho ignored him, just kept his jaw clenched. Seonghwa forced the holy water into his blood stream, and the burning sensation caused Yunho to scream. Once the large syringe was empty, he pulled it out and set it aside, "Tell me about them,"
"That... is none of your business," Yunho panted, dropping his head back as he tried to get his breath back.
"Oh, c'mon.. Just trying to make small talk," Seonghwa teased with a deep voice. It caused Yunho to shiver. "What about a girlfriend?"
Yunho chuckled, "girlfriend? Do I look like the type to date a chick?" Seonghwa shrugged, and Yunho rolled his eyes, "His name was Jong-Ho,"
"Was?" Seonghwa tilted his head. The past tense lead Seonghwa to believe this man was no longer around. Yunho bit his lip.
"Was." He repeated in confirmation, "He was...killed,"
Seonghwa saw the look in Yunho's eyes. He had him. He decided to press on. "How?"
Yunho groaned and looked away. "Why do you care?" He asked, "Last I checked, this wasn't therapy," He looked back to Seonghwa, who just remained silent with an almost sympathetic look on his face, "What?" Seonghwa shook his head and grabbed another syringe. He knew one more shot and it would be done. "Hwa, please, don't," Yunho began to beg, pushing himself as far into the chair as he could to get away.
Begging. That was a good sign. Seonghwa approached the crippling demon and shoved the needle into his forearm once more. He pushed the liquid in under his skin and Yunho screamed, tears fell down his face. It was unlike a demon to cry, and his tears felt sincere to Seonghwa. It almost made him feel bad. It was the last syringe. Seonghwa slowly pulled the needle out as Yunho trembled from the pain. "Talk,"
"Fuck you," Yunho snapped, "This torture, and for what? You got your answer! I told you Mingi's name! What more could you possibly want?!" Yunho yelled, fighting against the chains that bound him. Seonghwa ignored the question.
"How was Jong-Ho killed?" Seonghwa asked again, his tone soft like silk, and he saw the heart break in Yunho's eyes. Seonghwa walked up to him and kneeled in front of him.
"Me," Yunho mumbled, "I killed him. Song Mingi's orders," Yunho looked into Seonghwa's eyes, "He forced me to torture him," Yunho's voice cracked, "And I didn't feel a thing. I was Mingi's little bitch. I was forced to do whatever he told me," A tear fell down Yunho's face and he looked down.
Seonghwa's plan worked. He had successfully revived Yunho's human-like emotions. Seonghwa knew he wasn't human, and never would be. "I'm sorry, Yunho," Seonghwa apologized. Yunho looked up in confusion as he felt the chains that held his wrists loosen. He stretched out his hand and flexed his wrist. He stood and lifted his arms high, as if he had never stretched before.
Seonghwa's cell rang. He pulled out his phone to see San's caller ID and sighed, "Stay here," He held up his index finger to Yunho, who just stretched out his arms and shrugged.
"Not like I can go anywhere," He said, referencing to the trap that kept him caged.
Seonghwa rolled his eyes and turned away, answering the call.
"Hello?"
San's voice could barely be heard by Yunho, who did his best to listen in. All he could hear was that he sounded worried, almost scared. And Yunho didn't understand why that made his stomach churn with anxiety.
"Is she okay?"
More mumbling.
"Where are you?" He asked, quick rummaging for a piece of paper, and jotting down the address in a scribbly Hangul, "Ok, I will be there soon," And the phone clicked. Seonghwa turned around to see Yunho looking actually concerned. It was shocking to him, but just proved his point more that his experiment worked. "San needs me. His sister is hurt bad, and it's a fight he can't win alone,"
"What happened?" Yunho asked, standing as close to the edge of the trap as he could.
"Kidnapped by a demon,"
Yunho's expression dropped, "Did they say their name?" He asked, eyes filled with an an almost fearful expression.
Seonghwa shook his head, "No." Seonghwa tilted his head, "You're scared,"
"I... Yes. But why? Why am I feeling these things? What did you do?!" Yunho started to realize his emotions were taking over, when he was usually emotionless.
Seonghwa laughed, "You'll get used to it. It was an experiment, and it worked." He stated, walking up to him, pulling a pocket knife from his pocket and scratching a small section of the trap away. "You're coming with me."
"The hell I am," Yunho snapped, "Why would you do this? I didn't want this!"
"Do you want revenge?" Seonghwa ignored the initial question, responding with his own.
Yunho stopped, "Revenge?"
Seonghwa smirked, "Revenge on Song Mingi, Yunho. For what he made you do," Yunho's expression shifted as he remembered everything. Everything he did that he couldn't control. Jong-ho's screams rang in his ears, and he could suddenly see his blood on his hands again. Yunho slammed his eyes shut, and Seonghwa noticed the pain in his posture. "We can win, but we need your help,"
Yunho clenched his jaw, fury building as his memories flooded, his heart broke for what he did, and he became angry with himself for not feeling anything while he tore Jong-ho apart. He despised Song Mingi. He wanted nothing more that to see him dead. His eyes opened, their color the same as darkest part of the night sky. He looked up to Seonghwa with his black eyes.
"I'm in."
