Another restless night. Another night waking up with sweat drenching the sheets. The same voice echoing.

"Come with me, San."

It was becoming harder to ignore. The thoughts, the voices that played like a broken record in his head. And it didn't go unnoticed. "Another nightmare?" Woo Young mumbled as he woke. San's rapid movement and panting made it increasingly difficult for Woo Young to sleep. Though, that may be him staying on high alert every night. It had been weeks, the same thing over and over.

San was in a cold sweat, his hair sticking to his face in little clumps, his emerald green eyes glistened with tears. "Yah... I'm fine. I'm sorry I woke you," San sounded exhausted. He'd fight sleep until he physically couldn't. Anything to keep his fathers voice at bay.

Woo Young hummed, looking lazily up to his partner. "Don't be sorry, love. It'll pass." He pushed himself up, a yawn quickly following. He rubbed the grogginess from his eyes.

"Woo, you don't have to stay up-" San began before being hushed with a wave of Woo Young's hand.

"Aish- I'll make some ramen and tea. Let's watch a movie, yah?" Woo Young smiled, his smile showing his own exhaustion. He didn't give San a chance to answer before he was kicking off the sheets and comforter and slipping out of the bed.

San, of course, couldn't help the small grin that tugged at his lips as he watched the man he loved get out of bed to care for him. San was quick to follow, throwing on a white tee over his bare torso, then heading into the main living space.

...

"Your ramen, my dear," Woo Young smirked playfully as he handed San a bowl of warm noodles, even offering a bow as San reached for the bowl. The little gesture made him chuckle, rolling his eyes to his lover. Woo Young felt victorious in his efforts to make the latter smile.

"Thank you," San mumbled as he took a big bite of the noodles and plopped them in his mouth, the savory flavors coating every taste bud. "Mmmh," He groaned, one noodle hanging from his mouth. This earned a laugh from Woo Young as he sat down on the soft cushion next to him.

"Ahh, clean your face," he laughed as San rapidly took the extra noodle and moved it to his mouth. Woo Young set the two glass cups down, steam floating above the hot liquid. "What are we watching?" He asked, whipping a pillow into his lap as a makeshift table for his bowl.

"Mmh, I was thinking 'The Age of Shadows,'. Gong Yoo looked so good in that," San teased as he looked up the movie.

Woo Young scoffed, "Gong Yoo? Mh, I see what your type is," He nudged San playfully with a goofy smile on his face, earning a sarcastic side eye.

San turned on the movie and munched happily on the ramen Woo Young made for him. Woo Young couldn't help but watch the male next to him with a subtle smile. It had been so long since he'd seen a true smile on his face. He couldn't stop staring. "What?" San asked, words muffled by a full mouth.

"Nothing. You're just so handsome," Woo Young cooed, causing San to go red in the cheeks.

"... hush and watch the movie," San mumbled, Woo Young chuckled, turning his attention towards the movie.

...

Woo Young had fallen asleep midway through the movie, leaving San awake with his thoughts. A heavy sigh escaped his lips while he collected the dishes and set them on the counter. After gently setting the dishes down, as to not create to much noise and wake up the one sleeping peacefully on the couch, San planted his hands on the counter, all his thoughts flooding at once. The same echo flooding his ears. A single tear fell down his face.

He was tired. Tired of the same haunting dream. Tired of the same voice. Tired of feeling out of control. San clenched his fists, closing his eyes tight as he fought back more tears. After a moment longer of the silence, San opened his eyes and turned his head to admire his lover, who had now fallen to his side, snoring peacefully.

San smiled gently at the way Woo Young's features softened as he slept, how his lips pursed out ever so slightly with every exhale. Asleep, Woo Young looked so much younger. San could almost believe that Woo Young could still have a chance at a normal life. Could forget everything that happened.

He slowly approached Woo Young, kneeling down next to him. San brushed a black strand away from his face, clearing a space to plant a kiss against his soft skin. Woo Young shifted ever so slightly at the touch, but alas, didn't wake. San felt another wet stream fall down his face. He reached to the side and grabbed a soft, fleece blanket and draped it over Woo Young. Then, took a pillow and carefully lifted his head to slip it under him.

"I love you, my Woo," San muttered, caressing his cheek with the most delicate touch before giving him one more kiss on the lips, even knowing it wouldn't be reciprocated.

San stood up, shaky in the knees as he started to realize what he was doing. He went to the room him and Woo Young shared and grabbed a little bag that would only hold the most important items. Almost as if in a rush, he shoved select few pieces of clothing, including one of Woo Young's shirts, one that still smelled of his natural musk. He looked around for anything he could be missing. Then he saw his stuffy, still laying on the bed.

He reached for it, picking it up for a moment before ultimately deciding to leave him for Woo Young to have. Something to keep in reminder of him. He carefully set the stuffy down, tied the bag  in a knot before tossing it over his shoulder.

"San?" San jumped at the voice in the doorway.

"Yunho.." He mumbled after meeting the eyes of the demon. It didn't take Yunho long to realize what San was doing. "I.."

"You're leaving. You're going to Mingi, aren't you?" Yunho interrupted. San couldn't answer him. He looked to the floor, fighting the guilt that boiled in him. San walked towards the door, pushing past the latter, but before he could get far, Yunho grabbed him by the wrist, stopping him.

"Let me go, Yunho," Sans voice seemed to go flat, emotionless. He couldn't look him in the eyes. His heart felt heavy.

"Don't do this, San," Yunho pleaded, he almost sounded desperate. The tone yanked on Sans heart strings. Especially coming from something like Yunho.

"I have to," San mumbled, yanking his arm out of Yunhos grip, his eyes never meeting the others. He walked towards the front door, glancing to the room that Yeosang and Eun-Ji shared, then when he finally reached the main living, he took one last glance at Woo Young, whom still slept peacefully on the couch, before finally leaving without another word.

No note.

Nothing left behind indicating where he went.

...

The Latin rolled off Sans tongue, as if it were a language he spoke his whole life. The candles blew out from a gust of a wind, leaving chills under his skin. The ground rumbled, blowing up dust.

"Wow.. of all people I never would have expected you," the low voice rattled Sans eardrums. San spun on his heels, meeting haunting, crimson eyes. Mingi's smirk always seemed oddly comforting. "Ahaha.. I know why you're here," Mingi clicked his tongue, waving a single finger as he circled San.

"You're here because you couldn't handle the voices anymore. Because you couldn't handle hearing the voice of your father," Mingi stopped behind San, "am I right?"

San gulped. "You said you can teach me to use my powers.. to control them," his voice shook, and Mingi laughed heartily.

"Oh, my dear San, I can do more than that. I can give you everything." He said, placing a hand on Sans shoulder, and San didn't move. He welcomed the touch, and Mingi smirked.

"Promise me they'll be safe," San stated plainly. He turned around to meet Mingi's now brown eyes, "promise me my family will be safe," Mingi placed his hand on Sans face, the touch so gentle, it actually caught him off guard. Mingi nodded in approval. San took a shaky breath.

"Okay.. I'm with you,"
