The siblings walked in to the cold and musty room, "Light switch..." San mumbled as he looked around the dark room, forcing his eyes to adjust. "Here," He flicked the light switch on. Eun-Ji hit San's arm to get his attention. He looked away from the switch to see what may possibly be the most weapons he'd ever seen.
"Oh my god.." Eun-Ji mumbled as she stepped further into the room. She scanned the room from bottom to top, and once she reached the ceiling, she noticed a painted symbol, "San, look," She pointed up, "What is it?"
San followed her finger up and tilted his head, "Devil's trap... I read about them a long time ago,"
Eun-Ji and San were in complete awe from their newest discovery. Guns and knives lined the walls, along with books of anything they could possibly want to learn. Symbols of ancient lore painted the cement walls. A chair sat close to the back of the room and chains decorated it. It looked like a torture device.
"This is it, San. This is what they were hiding," Eun-Ji said.
"They were hunters..." San responded, still scanning the room.
Eun-Ji approached a small wooden table that seemed to be handmade. The top looked like a shaved piece of a tree trunk, and the legs were thin logs. On top of the table sat a leather book, bound together with thick chords. She dragged her fingers across the leather, removing any dust that clung to it. Slowly, she looped the chord around her index finger and unwound it, then opened the book.
She scanned the hand written words, then noticed what she was looking at, "San, it's a list of phone numbers,"
San met Eun-Ji at the table and planted his hands on the table, looking over the the same pages she was, "Park Family," San read off the page, then followed the row to the phone number, "They may know something, Eun," San pulled out his phone and dialed the number. It rang a few times before a young male picked up.
"Park Seonghwa, who is this?"
San cleared his throat and put him on speaker, "Seonghwa, we are Choi San and Choi Eun-Ji,"
The line went silent for a moment.
"Hello?" Eun-Ji called.
"The children of Jin-Young and Minghao?"
"Yes!" The siblings said in unison. "Can we meet?"
Seonghwa agreed, and gave them the address. Eun-Ji jotted it down in her phone notes.
...
The siblings pulled up the the address given to them by Park Seonghwa. The house was small, almost like a cabin rather than a regular house. It was overgrown, vines spread across the exterior of the living space. Eun-Ji checked her notes, "This is it,"
"Looks abandoned," San observed, and Eun-Ji laughed.
"I'm sure keeping the outside of his house in tip-top shape isn't very high on his priority list, San," She pointed out and San laughed in agreement. Eun-Ji and San then both got out of the car and cautiously approached the house. Eun-Ji knocked twice, and it wasn't long before a tall male answered the door.
This man had mid-length hair parted down the middle. He was tall and thin, but it didn't look unhealthy on him. Honestly, he looked hand crafted by God Himself. For a hunter, he was quite angelic looking. In truth, it flustered both siblings, seeing as both were into men.
"Choi San and Eun-Ji? Please, come in," Seonghwa stepped aside to allow them access into his home. The two bowed their heads in thanks and walked in. The difference was obvious. Seonghwa didn't try to hide his hunting equipment, "Do you want a coffee or tea?"
