"Do you have everything?" San asked his younger sister as she zipped up her duffle bag filled with her belongings, tossing it over her shoulder. The siblings would be staying with the Jung brothers for the time being, so it would be easier to make sure they stayed safe. Woo Young and Yeosang waited outside for the siblings to gather their things.
Eun-Ji nodded, "Not like I have much to bring," She laughed a bit, "I'm good. Let's get out of this hell spot," She said, walking to the door, San following close behind. He locked up the door and set the key in the drop box, then met the others at the vehicles.
"Are we ready?" Yeosang asked as Eun-Ji and San approached. He planted a gentle kiss on Eun-Ji's forehead and smiled.
"Ready as we'll ever be," San responded, looking to Woo Young. He smiled to him, "Let's get going,"
The siblings went to their own car, planning to follow the others to their place of residence. "Eun, your wounds are practically gone," San noticed as they began driving behind the Jung car. Eun-Ji looked to her chest and arms.
"I noticed that.. It's really odd, isn't it?" She asked, observing the almost faded scars now. The incident had only happened two days ago, yet her body had healed almost completely. "You don't think this has to do with what Mingi said, do you?"
San stayed silent for a moment before responding, "I don't know..."
...
They arrived at the Jung apartment and parked in their designated spots. They all got out, and the Choi siblings grabbed their belongings from the back seat. "Here we are," Woo Young opened his hands to present a tall apartment complex. Truly, it was very nice. The building couldn't have been more than 10 years old, "Follow us up,"
Woo Young lead them all upstairs, taking them to the elevator and moving up to the third floor. He lead them to the first door on the left on the third floor. Yeosang stepped forward and unlocked the door, opening it to reveal a condo-style apartment. There was a large window overlooking Seoul, and an open concept kitchen. The theme leaned towards modern, the colors that represented the apartment were mainly neutral browns and whites. A small hall was directly to the right of the entryway, leading to the two bedrooms and a bathroom. "It's not much, but I think it'll work, hm?" Yeosang smiled as he hung the keys on the key-hook that held mail.
"It's not a musty motel," San smiled, slipping off his shoes and hanging his own keys on the same hook, "It's perfect,"
Woo Young followed the group in and slipped his arm around San's waist, planting a kiss on his shoulder, "I'll show you our room," He took San's hand and led him down the hall, taking the first room on the right and opening the door. Woo Young's room was kept tidy. He bed was placed in the middle of the room, and placed against the wall directly in front of the door was a glass shelf holding collectable figures, then just to the right was a gaming PC.
"Wow.." San mumbled as Woo Young let him in first. He ran his hand across the bed first, then over to the glass shelf. He smiled. It made San happy to see Woo Young with such interests. "How long have you been collecting?"
Woo Young shoved his hands in his pocket and smiled sheepishly, "I don't know.. five or so years?" San smiled and looked behind to see a shy Woo Young.
"Don't be shy," He looked back to the shelf, "It's amazing to see your interests,"
Woo Young relaxed at those words, "Thank you," He said, and San smiled, walking back to the bed next to Woo Young. He grabbed his hand, then slowly turned them so Woo Young's back was facing the bed. San paused for a moment before pushing Woo Young down and crawling over to hover over him. He leaned in close and planted kisses against Woo Young's jaw, down to his neck. Woo Young whimpered under San's touch. "S-San,"
San smirked and came back up to Woo Young's ear, "Listen here, Woo," He whispered, "For the time in the alley, thinking you were in control..I'm the one in control. You understand, doll?" San's voice was deep and raspy as he whispered. His hands stayed planted next to Woo Young's blushed face.
"Yes," He whimpered in response, earning a chuckle from San. He took Woo Young's earlobe between his teeth and bit gently before standing back up, leaving Woo Young a mess on the bed.
"Good," San's voice had reverted to its normal tone. He winked at the blushed male, "Shouldn't leave the others waiting too long. It's almost dinner and I think I can smell the beef," He smiled as he took Woo Young's hand and helped him up.
"R-right, of course," Woo Young muttered as he adjusted himself, and the couple returned to the kitchen, where Yeosang had began prep for a rice and beef dish.
"What's your issue?" Yeosang asked when he noticed Woo Young to be very flustered. Woo Young just shook his head and Yeosang chuckled, "Okay.. Get the veggies prepped, will you?"
Woo Young did as he was told and pulled the veggies from the fridge, also grabbing a ceramic knife and cutting board and began prepping. San and Eun-Ji both watched in awh as the men worked around each other in the kitchen, like it was a daily thing for them. Yeosang took on a father role. The savory aroma filled the kitchen. It had been so long since the Choi siblings had a home cooked meal, and they could barely hide their excitement as their stomachs growled at the smell.
Woo Young began cooking the bok choy, carrots, snap peas, and onions with a bit of coconut oil and soy sauce while also stirring the rice occasionally. Yeosang flipped the beef fillets with his chop sticks and sprinkled sesame seed over the top and the Choi's could feel their mouths starting to water. Yeosang paused a moment to grab a few dishes for the meal, turning and handing them to Eun-Ji, "Princess, could you please set these on the table for me?" He asked with a small smile.
She gladly took the bowls and plates and went to the table, San following to help her set up anything she needed and within a few short minutes, the table was perfectly prepped. Yeosang took the hot plate and brought it to the table, setting a towel down and placing the plate down, the beef still sizzling, Woo Young followed with a bowl of sticky rice, covered with a warm towel, and in his other hand, the fresh veggies, setting them on the towel next to the beef.
The Choi siblings didn't know how to respond. They hesitated for a moment as they looked at the delicious smelling food. "It's ready, please help yourself," Yeosang smiled as he pulled out two chairs for the Choi's. They both took their seat and gawked over the meal. They bowed their heads in unison before finally reaching for their chopsticks and dishing the meal for themselves.
The Jung brothers sat across, letting the others serve themselves before dishing up. Eun-Ji took a bite of the beef. It felt like her mouth exploded with the tenderness and juiciness of the beef. She happy danced in her seat as she continued to eat. San began as well, and his expression said it all.
Woo Young laughed a bit, "When was the last time you two had a home cooked meal?" He asked as he took a piece of veggie between his chopsticks and popping it in his mouth.
San shrugged with a mouth full of food, so Eun-Ji responded, "Not since our parents passed," She said as she stuffed another bite of beef in her mouth.
Yeosang and Woo Young exchanged looks, then back to the siblings, "That'll change now. Welcome to your new home," Yeosang smiled.
That phrase struck the Choi's heart. Home. It wasn't something they'd had since they were kids. It almost made them nervous. It was home, for now.
But neither of them knew how long it would last before they had to flee again.
