Olivia's POV
I woke up, feeling again so embarrassed about last night. I had no idea what was about to come now that my parents knew everything. Or not everything, but you know, about me and food. I wasn't able to wallow in my self-pitying thoughts for long until I heard a voice coming from downstairs
"Sunshine it's breakfast time", Maya shouted from the kitchen.
I looked at the clock and it was already 10 am. I haven't slept this long in ages. As I heard my mom's voice ringing in my head, I thought about it for a second and came to the conclusion that I didn't want to fight with them this early in the morning, so I hopped out of bed and dragged my feet downstairs.
I sat down and a bowl of cereal was placed in front of me. I didn't say anything but just started to play with the food, taking a spoonful of cereal every once in a while to keep my parents satisfied.
"Honey, be ready to leave in a few hours, mama and I have booked you an appointment with Arizona", my mom said, while taking sips of her coffee.
"What, why?", I asked.
"Well, as your moms we are extremely worried about you Liv, we have to make sure you are alright", my mom replied back.
"You fainted yesterday bambina, it's serious", mama added, joining the conversation.
"I am fine moms, please, I don't need to go to see Arizona", I tried saying to them.
"No, this is not up for discussion, we are going, end of conversation", mom said firmly, ending the convo there.
"Ughhh", I shrugged while playing with my cereal.
A few hours pass by
Carina's POV
"Olivia, we are leaving in 10", I yelled so she would hear me to her room.
"I don't wanna go", I heard back from our daughter's room.
I was trying not to get frustrated and marched upstairs and walked to Liv's room. I saw piles of clothes lying on the floor, and her standing in front of her mirror, scanning her body and outfit with great detail. I sighed.
"Bellina...I know you don't want to, but we have to check out your health. Not eating properly for long can cause several unhealthy effects, like vitamin deficiency, loss of periods, and an increased risk of osteoporosis..", I worded out, not trying to use my official doctor's voice.
"I don't have my period yet", my daughter said, while throwing her clothes back into her closet.
"And this might be the reason why you haven't gotten it yet bambina. You're almost 16 and if you don't get them in some time, we'll have to book another doctor's appointment", the OB/GYN in myself spoke out.
"But I don't understand why we need to go now. I look fine", she replied, now looking at me with tired eyes.
"No you don't Liv, you look unhealthy", I sighed.
There was a moment of silence until it was time we needed to leave, so I reached out to take my daughter's hand, and we walked to the car, where Maya was already waiting for us.
At the hospital
Olivia's POV
Me and my moms sat in the waiting area as we waited for Arizona. I still felt like my parents were making a bigger deal out of this than it actually was. Yeah, I fainted yesterday and I have skipped a few meals, so what? It's not like I'm dying here. My body was shaking as we waited, me sitting in between my parents.
