I looked into Olivia's eyes before taking my hands to roll up her sleeve. She didn't pull away, but she took a shaky breath and closed her eyes. As I rolled up the sleeve of her dress, I gasped.

Olivia's POV

The room was quiet for a second before Andy broke the silence

"Oh honey", Andy sighed, seeing the red lines on my left wrist and forearm.

"I-I'm sorry", I said quietly, small sobs starting to escape from my system.

"Hey hey Liv it's okay", Andy comforted, still investigating the lines.

"You can't tell my moms", I cried, clear panic in my voice.

"Liv...I think I have to. I-", she started to speak before I interrupted her

"No tia you can't, t-they'll hate me, you can't t-tell them p-please I'll stop, I-I won't do it anymore", I sobbed, trying to convince my aunt not to tell my parents.

"Honey you are their daughter they could never hate you. Most likely they'll be just worried", she replied calmly, stroking my hair.

"Please, you can't tell them", I pleaded, tears streaming down my face.

"Olivia it would be wrong of me to keep a secret like this. Your well-being matters to me. I know it's scary but we can tell them together, or I can tell them, but we don't have to do it tonight", her gentle voice echoed throughout the room.

"I- I won't do it anymore."

"Oliv-"

"I WON'T DO IT ANYMORE", I sobbed.

"You don't have to be scared mija, everything will be alright, okay? I promise they won't get mad", she comforted, pulling me into her embrace where I continued to cry.

After a while of me calming down and accepting the fact that my secret wasn't a secret anymore, Andy and I walked back upstairs. Everyone was still there, socializing and having fun. I avoided Andy the entire rest of the evening. I saw her occasionally looking at me, but I immediately looked away. I felt so ashamed.
I saw Owen and Teddy walk towards me and I shifted out of my thoughts

"We gotta get going, but thanks for the party Olivia, and again Happy Birthday", they cheered, both giving me a hug and starting to walk towards the entrance. I gave them a smile and looked around the room. I saw my parents standing in the corner of the beanery, being lost in another as they often were. I walked to them and tugged my mom's shirt a little

"I'm sorry to interrupt the party, but can we please go home soon?", I whispered to my moms, afraid to look them in the eyes.

"Is everything alright bella?", mama asked, brushing a strand of my brown hair behind my ear.

"I'm okay, just getting a little bit tired", I replied. Which was true. After the episode with Andy and crying, I felt like I could fall asleep any minute.

"Yeah sure honey, umm give us a sec", mom added, starting to make the needs in order for us to start heading home.

After we had announced that we would start heading home, we said our goodbyes and thank you's, and loaded all of our things into the car.

"Your uncles and aunties do really love spoiling you", mom laughed as she tried to balance all the gifts I had received during the evening.

"Hey, you were the ones who organized this whole thing", I laughed. "But really, thanks for all the gifts and everything", I quickly added.

"You're welcome tesoro", mama smiled, opening the passenger side door.

We got back to the house, and I almost fell asleep in the car. We carried our things inside the house, and I went to give my moms a quick hug.

"Thanks for today, I'm gonna go to bed, goodnight", I said and headed upstairs.

"Goodnight", my moms replied in unison.

After Olivia's b-day

Maya's POV

The next couple of days after Olivia's birthday, she seemed to be more distant, and Carina and I couldn't pinpoint why. She again got sudden anxiety attacks and avoided physical touch, which was unlike her. She didn't come to the station or the hospital but wanted to stay home alone for the days. Her eating took again a little bit more time at the dinner table, but she still ate everything. Carina and I had no idea what caused this, and when we tried talking to her about it, she argued that nothing was wrong and would snap, but then hours later would cry and apologize for the way she was talking to us. And this kept going for days.

I pulled to the driveway and got out the groceries I had bought after my shift. I opened the front door and saw my wife preparing dinner. I kicked off my shoes and walked towards her, placing the bags down and pulling her in for a kiss.

Carina's POV

"Andy wanted to come over later", I hear my wife say as she started unpacking the grocery bags.

"Okay. Did she say why?", I replied, not sure if we had made plans that I couldn't remember.

Maya shrugged her shoulders. "No, she just said that she and Liv needed to tell us something", she said, placing items in the fridge.

"Do you think she knows what's going on with our daughter?", I wondered out loud.

"I don't know, I hope so, this attitude has been so unlike her. It's like back when she-", Maya started

"You don't think she's-", I quickly interrupted, referring to what we had been going through with her for the past couple of months.

"No, I don't think so. God, I hope not", my wife responded.

Olivia's POV

I heard a commotion from downstairs, realizing that Andy was here. After a few minutes I heard a knock on my door, and seconds later she walked into the room. She sat on my bed and exhaled

"How are you?", she asked.

I shrugged my shoulders. I was scared, angry and upset. I was too nervous about what was about to happen in the next hour.

"I hate you for doing this", I mumbled. I didn't really hate her but I did feel very upset.

"I'm sorry Olivia if me doing this causes you anger, but your moms need to know. I'll be there with you, you're okay", she said, giving my shoulder a tight squeeze.

We walked downstairs to the living room. My moms sat down on the couch as Andy and I stood in front of them. She looked at me but I stayed silent.

"Okay. Olivia and I need to tell you something. It's a difficult topic to talk about, so you need to promise you won't get mad, and you'll listen before you start talking, okay", Andy instructed. The moms nodded, confused about what was this about.

I couldn't say anything. It's like I had forgotten how to speak. I was frozen with fear, of how my parents would react. I couldn't look at them. My eyes were glued to the ground, I was fidgeting with my fingers and trying my hardest to keep a steady breathing pattern. Then Andy spoke again

"When Olivia had her party at the station a couple of days ago, I found out that she self-harms"
