"Uhh... do you know which way the volleyball gym is, by any chance?"

Shibayama simply blinked at you. "I thought you knew, since your brother's on the team...."

There you two stood, in the middle of the grass outside. Neither of you knew where you were supposed to go.

Earlier on your first day, the two of you had filled out applications to join the club. Now, it being the end of the week, all new people that filled out applications are to head to the gym to meet the others. New players are supposed to be showing the coaches and older members what they're capable of. And you would be starting your first jobs as the manager.

However, neither you nor Shibayama knew where to go. No one ever gave either of you instructions on how to get to the gym. Hence, you two standing in the middle of a grassy area just staring at each other. In dead silence.

"You two lost or something?" You two turned to the owner of the voice, who just happened to be a boy that looked to be about your age with spiky brown hair.

You nodded, being the more social one between you and Shibayama. "We don't know which way the volleyball gym is. We both are gonna be knew members of the club, but no one ever gave us instructions on how to get to the gym."

The boy smiled. "I'm heading there too! I just asked one of the staff members, so let's all go there together!"

"Ok! Oh, I'm Yaku Y/n, by the way. And my friend here is Shibayama Yuuki."

The brunette nodded at you two, still smiling like a lil puppy. "I'm Inuoka Sou! Nice to meetcha!"

And together, the three of you first years walked to the volleyball club's gym.

"I SWEAR I'LL KILL YOU KUROO!!!"

The two boys beside you flinched. You, Shibayama, and Inuoka were standing in the now open doorway leading inside the volleyball club's gym. The two first year boys began trembling in fear on either side of you.

You looked over at them and gave bothof the boys a reassuring smile. "Don't worry. Mori seems scary, but he's just a lil teddy bear. Totally harmless. There's no need to be scared of him."

"RESPECT ME YAKUKUN! I'M THE CAPTAIN HERE!"

Your brother continued chasing the tall bedhead boy around the gym. "I DON'T GIVE A DAMN! STAY! AWAY! FROM! MY! BABY! SISTER! YOU STUPID FUCKING ROOSTER SHIT!"

You giggled, stepping further into the gym. "Hey, Mori!"

The boy froze suddenly and turned to look at the direction of the door, seeing you standing in front of 2 boys. "Y/n!"

You gave the purest smile those guys have ever seen. "I'm here! And I brought 2 new members along with me!"

You moved aside and used your arms to gesture to the boys you happened to walk with. They both gave shy smiles once the whole team began staring at them. They waved and muttered a shy "hi" to the other guys.

Kuroo stepped in front of you 3 and gave a smile. "Heya, I'm the captain and third year middle blocker, Kuroo Tetsurou. Y/n, go ahead and take your belongings and go sit on a bench before your brother tries to kill me again. I'll get these 2 sorted out."

"Okie!" You skipped over to the bench and sat down, looking over at the team.

"So, which of you 2 is my little sister's friend?" Yaku Morisuke decided to be intimidating once your back was turned, trying to be the overprotective older brother he is.

Shibayama nervously smiled and raised his hand slightly. "Um... me. Shibayama Yuuki, first year. She told me you're a libero... I'm also a libero. N-nice to meet you."

Yaku looked him up and down, then turned his scary expression into a softer, more pleasant one. "Well, you seem nice enough. Thanks for being friends with Y/n- she seems pretty happy."

"Huh?! And you threaten to kill Yamamoto and I for even thinking of talking to her?!" Kuroo looked at the libero in disbelief.

Your gaze flicked over to the group of boys huddled together. "Hmm... I guess they're getting along...."

"Yes, seems they are."

You whipped around to face an old man that was standing behind you with his eyes closed, a smile on his face. "Are you coach Nekomata?"

He looked at you, the smile growing slightly bigger. "That's me, alright. I'm guessing you're the little sister of my libero?"

You nod. "Mhm. Yaku Y/n. Nice to meet you, sir. My brother has told me quite a bit about you. You seem to be a really good coach for this team."

"Thank you. Well... since you're the manager now, do you think you can get them to focus on volleyball?"

You stood and gave a salute to the coach. "Yessir!"

Without a moment's hesitation, you walked right over to the boys. Your smile never left your face.

Once you were behind the group, you clapped and got their attention- which had made them all flinch before facing you. "Coach says to get to playing volleyball. So let's get to it, boys!"

They all turned to face you and spoke in unison. "Yes ma'am!" The boys of the team, along with the 2 first years you came with, jogged over to the court to begin practice.

So...
I went to the Haikyuu! wiki to get info on all the Nekoma members...

Apparently there are 3 that exist without names, years, or positions (except 1 that is apparently a libero)
1 of them doesn't even have a jersey number

So I won't be mentioning them or that 1st year setter cuz I'm lazy and don't feel like remembering the setter's name nor do I wanna come up with names for those barely existing members

Also...
I didn't add Lev yet for a reason:
I don't think he just randomly signed up for the club (that info wasn't involved with what I know from the anime and/or manga)
I kinda wanna believe one of the team members saw how tall he was and kinda recruited him, so that's how he'll be added within the next chapter or so
