"LEV! YOUR RECEIVES SUCK!"

"Y/n! Help me! Your brother is trying to kill me!"

You looked up from your laptop, seeing that your brother was indeed chasing Lev with murderous intent. "Mori, please don't kill Lev! I don't want him to die!"

Morisuke immediately stopped and jogged over to you. "But he sucks!"

"He does not. You're being mean to him. Let Tetsu and Kenken take care of his training today, ok?"

"But-"

"Nope. I won't hear any of it. Come sit with me and help me out for a bit. Please?"

Morisuke sighs, sitting down on the floor beside you. "So, whatcha doing?"

You smile at him. "Look here. I'm analyzing all past matches for our team for the last 2 years- all the years you've been here. And I'm gathering data on other teams from the prefecture. Using all of this info, I can come up with different strategies we could use during matches in the future. Not to mention, it could prove useful for training Lev. If I get all these strategies together, then we can train him with them and it'll make it easier for when he does get the chance to actually play on the court. What do you think?"

Your big brother leaned in closer, getting a good look at the screen- eyes wide and sparkling. "I think you're a genius!"

You giggled. "Well, duh."

"How'd you manage to do all this?"

"Well, I am the team's manager. It's the least I could do to help out."

"What's shortcake doing?" While you and your brother were talking and looking over everything on your screen, Kuroo walked over and was hovering above you two.

You jumped a bit, craning your neck to look up at the captain. "Gathering data and forming strategies for the team. Since you're the captain, do you wanna take a look and give your input?"

He sat down on your other side, so you'd be sitting in between him and your brother. "Sure. Let's see what ya got here."

"She really went all out for this. Everything she put on there is impressive." Your brother leaned onto your shoulder while praising you.

Kuroo was busy scanning the screen, only looking up and turning to face you once he finished. "This is better than anything we could've ever come up with! Yakkun, where have you been hiding this adorable little genius?! Wait- better question: why have you kept this genius hidden till now?!"

"To keep her away from bad influences and horrible boys like you and Yamamoto!" Morisuke protectively wrapped his arms around you, pulling you towards his chest- away from Kuroo.

"We could've used that big, beautiful brain of hers all this time!"

"Leave my baby sister alone!"

You tapped both of their shoulders, having secured your laptop while they were bickering. "Calm down you two, it's not really a big deal. But since you both agree that what I came up with is good, how about I show the coaches and get their opinion? If they agree, we can start implementing all of this into practices. Sound good?"

The two third years eagerly nodded their heads, acting almost as if they hadn't been ready to go at each other's throat mere seconds prior. "Go for it!"

"Y/n... I don't like how you brother's glaring at me. I think he might kill me...."

You shook your head dismissively. "Mori's just a teddy bear- you've got nothing to worry about."

"He keeps yelling and is very hard on me when you all are teaching me receives...."

"He just wants to make sure you can receive just as good as everyone else!"

Lev nervously looked at your brother before turning his attention back to you. "If you say so...."

You nodded, clapping your hands with a big smile. "Ok, boys! Time to cool down so we can go home! I'm hungry and wanna go to bed soon!"

"Yes, ma'am!"

"Why do you try so hard with Lev?"

You looked at your brother. "Hm... I never really thought about it before. I dunno. I just feel like doing whatever I can to help him be a great volleyball player, I guess."

The two of you were alone, slowly closing the distance between you and your home. Usually, you two have conversations- just like the close siblings you are. It's always comfortable between you two.

Tonight felt different. There was an unknown tension in the air.

"Why do you ask, Mori?"

"You seem to get closer to him every time I see you two together."

"Isn't that normal? We spend a lot of time together, after all."

"Y/n." Morisuke stopped walking, eyes trained on you.

You noticed and stopped walking, turning to face him and making eye contact. "Mori?"

"Do you like Lev?"
