You woke up one morning. Finally, your head had stopped hurting. You smile, knowing you were feeling much better after about half a week of dealing with the pain caused by the concussion.
You had also noticed you received a notification on your phone. Seeing as you felt much better, you decided to check it immediately. Upon looking at the notification, you realized it was a text from Lev. Your heart immediately began racing.
<Lev: Good morning, Y/n! How are you feeling this morning?>
<You: Good morning, Lev. I'm feeling much better today, my head doesn't even hurt>
<Lev: That's great! So, does this mean you'll be coming to school and practice again?>
<You: No, sorry, Lev. The nurse said I need to stay home for a week, so I've got a few more days to go before I can go back>
<Lev: Oh... ok. Well, I hope you rest well. See you within the next few days!>
<You: Thanks, Lev! See you in a few days!>
You sigh, smiling uncontrollably. For some reason - which you started depicting as having feelings for the boy - your heart fluttered while reading Lev's messages, and while responding to all the texts.
Lev, on the other hand, was a smiling and blushing mess. Unfortunately for this love-stricken boy, he was still with the volleyball team since they had just finished morning practice. And the other guys noticed his behavior.
"Whatcha smiling about over there, Lev?" Kuroo leaned around Yaku - who was changing beside him - to look at the tall first year.
Lev flinched, quickly turning his phone off and stuffing it in his pocket. "Uh... n-nothing, senpai."
"Fucking liar." Yaku muttered not-so-quietly.
Lev looked away, very obviously avoiding eye contact with the other guys. "I... just wanted to check up on Y/n...." He mumbled.
The third year libero's eyes widened. "What?! You can't text her! Her head hurt cuz of the concussion!"
Lev's eyes briefly met his senpai's. "She said her head stopped hurting, but she's still taking the full week off because the nurse told her to."
Kenma tensed, not liking the fact that Lev as the first to message you once you were feeling better - he wanted to be the first person you'd text once your head stopped hurting. The setter remained silent, internally fuming.
Your brother raised a brow, taking out his phone and calling you, putting you on speaker for the whole team to hear.
Of course, since it was your brother, you answered - a bit confused, though. "Hey, Mori. Is everything alright?"
"Yeah. Did your head stop hurting?"
You were beaming on your end. "Yep! I feel much better. Why?"
"Oh, that's just what Lev told us."
"Hm? 'Us'? Like, the whole team?"
Kuroo smirked, leaning closer to Morisuke and his phone. "That's right, shortcake. Glad you're feeling better."
Your eyes went wide as you realized the guys were still in the club room, your brother having called you and putting you on speaker. You blushed, partially embarrassed and partially nervous that Lev can also hear you. "Ah, y-yeah. I mean, I'm not fully recovered. B-but my head did stop hurting!"
Lev smiled, happy to finally hear your voice after a few days. "Hey, Y/n!"
You felt your heartbeat quicken, briefly losing your breath. "Oh, u-uh... h-hey, Lev!"
"Is it ok if I go to your house tonight? I told my sister what happened and she got some stuff she wanted me to give you."
Y/n.exe has stopped working. "Um...."
Morisuke glared at the boy. "NO! Stay away from my house, Lev!"
You had flinched after hearing your brother shout. "Calm down, Mori. But... uh, Lev?"
The tall first year smiled, looking at the phone expectantly - hopefulness sparkling in his eyes. "Yes, Y/n?"
"Alisa got some things for me when she found out I got hit in the head and ended up with a concussion?"
"Yeah! She wanted to also meet you herself, but thought since you probably couldn't deal with too much she asked me to deliver some things she got to you. Oh, and she wants to meet you when you've fully recovered!"
All the guys heard was a thud from your end.
Of course, being the overbearing brother he is, Morisuke was borderline flipping out. "Y/n?! Are you ok?!"
"Matcha pocky."
"Huh?" Everyone, aside from your brother, was confused by your random sentence.
Morisuke, however, was somewhat used to this. "Did you fall down the stairs again?"
"Strawberry milk."
"Are you ok?"
"Нет." (For those that don't know, it's Russian for "no", typically pronounce at "net" or "nyet", or something along those lines).
"Y/n, for the last time, I don't understand much Russian." He just sighed in exhaustion.
Lev tipped his head to the side. "That was Russian?"
You nod, though no one can see. "Da." (Author-chan was not gonna put in the written Russian for that).
Your brother looked at the other guys. "That means yes."
"Did she really fall down stairs?" Lev looked concerned, remembering a question the libero had asked a while ago while you had still been talking with foods.
Morisuke shook his head. "No. I ask that in case she actually does, mainly cuz of the thud. Her random switching between languages and talking with food happens when her brain kinda short circuits... so to speak."
"Где чай?" (Pronunciation = gde chai? ; meaning "where's the tea?")
Morisuke just blinked a few times. "In Japanese, please. Cuz, again, I don't speak Russian!"
"You should."
"What were you saying before?" He blatantly disregarded your first response in Japanese.
"Where's the tea?" You repeat, but in Japanese this time.
"Cabinet."
"Which one?"
"In the kitchen."
You were damn near screaming at how vague he was being. "WHICH ONE?!"
Morisuke laughed, finally hearing you get frustrated. "Where it always is."
"...."
"Y/n. You do know where we usually keep the tea, don't you?" Your brother became serious real quick.
You chuckle nervously. "So... um, where...?"
"You're hopeless."
"I know...."
