MAYBE A PART OF DAISY WISHED THEY HADN'T DECIDED TO NEED HER IN ANY WAY. MAYBE.The police station was the place she last wished to be in, especially at the moment. She winced quietly when she almost lost her balance, turning slightly to look at the distracted police officer before motioning for Nancy and Jonathan to hurry. Daisy rushed up the stairs without making as much noise and only stopped for a few seconds when the back of her ankle began burning.
"Let's go." Nancy urged her.
"Wait a second, will you," Daisy grunted, fixing her shoe and following Nancy to stand outside whilst Jonathan grabbed their box from earlier that was inside Hopper's office.
It felt like her entire body was going into straight fear when she almost knocked an item down, hurriedly grabbing it before it alerted the officer of their presence. Daisy gritted her teeth and placed the large object back in its place, mouthing a 'sorry' to Nancy.
Jonathan came out of the office with the box and the two girls quickly followed until Nancy paused and took the fire extinguisher with her. She received a weird look from Daisy and shrugged it off.
"You never know," Nancy whispered to her.
Daisy pursed her lips as she continued walking and ended up nodding. "Your mind is spectacular." She complimented quietly.
That made a smile crawl up Nancy's face without a second thought, keeping her gaze on the girl that was walking in front of her. It was a ridiculous thought that she had in mind but before she could speak her mind Jonathan interrupted, holding the door open for them and urging them to run.
"What're you gonna use?" Jonathan asked Daisy.
"My trusty barrel, duh." She answered, panting when they finally stopped running. "Or an axe."
He shook his head. "You'll need something stronger. What if that doesn't work?"
Nancy got into the passenger's seat whilst Daisy climbed into the back, sitting in the middle to look at both of them. Daisy sat quietly and stared up at the roof, her head nodding every once in a while as she ticked off ideas.
Jonathan shared a look with Nancy when Daisy didn't speak a single word to them but rather muttered to herself.
"My dad!" Daisy exclaimed suddenly, jumping in her seat. They stared at her with faces scrunched up in confusion. "Guns.. safe... I can get us more guns. Or one, I don't know where the rest are."
"Perfect." Nancy nodded, looking forward at Jonathan. "We go to Daisy's."
He turned the key in the ignition, the car making a loud sound before they sped off in case the officer got curious about who was outside. Considering it was Daisy's house they were going to practically break into she was becoming bossy and giving strong instructions, even as small as to which house they were going to park at.
She was sitting back in her seat and forming a quick plan for how they would play this off in case they were to get caught. Just in case.
Daisy knew the format of her home like the back of her hand and if you asked her which window made the less noise and was always left open she would answer with the second to the left window on the right side of the house, exactly near the living room.
She pointed to which house to park at specifically and it just so happened to be the Cunningham home where all its lights were turned off. Daisy opened the car door and motioned for them to hurry.
"Just follow my lead." She said loud enough for both of them to hear. Daisy looked to both her left and right in case any speed drivers were going down the neighborhood by any chance. They sprinted down the street and along the sidewalk, beginning to walk more slowly to contain their breath.
