SHE WOULD NEVER FORGET WHAT HAPPENED NEARLY LAST YEAR.Having to deal with inter-dimensional monsters and the Upside Down, as the party put it, those events weren't easy to let go of. Those everlasting fears are what also made Daisy's night go right to shit.
The movie ended about fifteen minutes ago but on their way out Joshua was stopped by some of his friends. Daisy was practically forced to go with them to the side of the building, the street lamp doing zero to nothing to ease her nerves. She didn't like being out late at night as much as she used to and to make matters worse, the new guy was there.
He kept eying Daisy as if she was some sort of pastry that he was craving, making her ultimately uncomfortable with all the staring, her eyes moving toward Joshua's in an attempt to signal for them to leave. Yet the boy was too focused on lighting his cigarette that was handed to him by Tommy H.
Daisy could feel the wind brushing past her exposed legs and it made her pissed that she decided to dress up for a stupid movie. She moved her hair that got stuck on her lip gloss with anger beginning to rush into her veins — she felt like an idiot.
"Hey," The new guy started with a smirk gracing his face. "I'm Billy. Billy Hargrove."
Daisy turned to him with a bored expression and kept her arms crossed over her chest as she bit the inside of her cheek. "Okay?" She sighed and looked down at her feet, kicking a rock away from her. "I'm... Daisy."
"Just Daisy?" He asked.
She narrowed her eyes at him, a frown falling upon her tinted lips. "Jesus.." Daisy muttered and turned away. Her eyes fixed on the darkness of the parking lot that was barely visible to them.
It was obvious that Billy wouldn't back down even if her boyfriend was standing a few feet apart from them. His eyes were set on Daisy's body but even then she didn't turn to look at him.
Sometimes Daisy liked to imagine that it was just her on this Earth that she had grown to hate at specific moments, and right now was one of them. Joshua was laughing at something Tommy H was talking about and it was very clear that they were talking about girls, giving Billy advice on which ones to go for. She hit the back of her head against the brick wall and shut her eyes tightly, listening to the rumbling within her eyelids as they twitched.
Daisy's mood was beginning to sour with each second she spent with those three dull-headed boys. She opened her eyes and kept looking out into the distance, her mouth falling open at the thing rustling around in front of the clothing store across the street from the theaters. The flickering light gave mere chances to see what it was but Daisy's first thought was a stray cat.
Her feet moved on their own, taking her right off the wall she was leaning on and slowly moving her away from the group. Her hand closed, opening again when Daisy continued moving.
"Dais?" Joshua's voice was a mere whisper to her, a gush that Daisy ignored. Her heart stopped when she thought she saw that same thing that haunted her, remembering the way it nearly pounced on her until he came. "Daisy?" She jumped when a hand fell on her shoulder, the scent of smoke reaching her nostrils.
Her hand came up to swat the smell away from her, exhaling sharply. Daisy's head whipped around again to see if she could catch it once more, but the pounding in her heart was almost restricting her from looking clearly.
"Take me home."
"What?"
"I said, take me fucking home," Daisy stated, her voice shaking with every word leaving her lips.
