"Not for cowardice but I can stay in the car this time? I already know it's gonna suck"  Robin asks them

"Everything will be fine" Nancy reassures her while driving
"I can't see hope fading into Eddie's eyes," Robin continues. Even Vivien didn't want to see the spark in her eyes dissolve again

"At least he'll get drunk and he'll get better," Steve replied gorging himself with chips
"Let's give a try, before the good news this time we brought you the junk food and beer you wanted. And we found Vecna, except he's  in the other dimension, the dark, scary one we told you about. Ah and the portal is closed and you're screwed, doubly, triplely screwed"

"Wait, maybe you shouldn't put it like that," Lucas suggests
"We're a little closer to Vecna. We'll tell him this," Nancy replies
"Seeing Robin, being positive makes the difference," Steve continues as he continues to eat chips
"Oh fuck," Vivien sighs

The boys approach Rick's house but find the Hawkins police. An agent explains how another victim was found on the shore of Lover's Lake.

"Not another time" Vivien gives a worry look to Max
His first thought is where Eddie is
"18-year-old Hawkins high. Patrick McKinney."

To the boy's name Vivien's heart had become lighter, at least the victim wasn't Eddie.
"We have also identified a suspect: Eddie Munson. We urge anyone with information to come forward"
"No, no, this is not good at all"

"Dustin, do you hear? Vivi? Wheeler?" the boys are shaken by a voice from Dustin's walkie-talkie. It's Eddie.
"Eddie, for fuck's sake. Are you okay?" Dustin asks concerned
"No, man. I'm pretty far from okay." he's clearly not okay
"Eddie" Vivien interrupts him "Where are you?"
"Vivien... skull rock, you know?"
"I know where it is" Steve interrupts
"Yeah. Hang in there. We're coming." Vivi reassures Eddie and for some reason the guy in her voice relaxes, he trusts her.

"If I can find a bright side to this apocalypse, it's seeing the old flames rekindle, which should never have gone out," says Robin pointing to Max and Lucas and Steve and Nancy.
"You know, I agree with you." Vivi and Robin keep walking and Steve notices a particular accessory on Vivien's finger
"Is that a new ring?"
"Which one? uh this one is, it's new... new"

"Who gave it to you?" Robin asks, taking her hand to observe it better "Wait... don't you think Eddie has an identical one? Or did he have an identical one?" Robin seems upset but at the same time hints one of her usual smiles
"Did I miss something? Since you and Munson were 'something'?"
"You didn't miss anything because Eddie and I are nothing but good friends"
"Uh-uh" Robin does not believe a word, even Vivien don't believe her own words. She has feelings for Eddie, and it's obvious, but she doesn't know if the feeling is reciprocated on the other side.

"Well here you are, I found you first," smiles Vivien kindly at the sight of the boy
"How are you?" he asks as he approaches
"Better" he answers with the usual smile he has when he looks at her. After a few seconds Eddie notices how tired she is in her face
"And you, did you sleep? Are you feeling well?" he asks her gently placing his right hand on the girl's face, stroking her cheek with his thumb
"I'm all right"
"Um no, I don't think so"
"I just haven't slept in two days, but I'm fine." Vivi also puts his hand on the boy's face, closes her eyes and prints a kiss on his right cheek. Eddie began to feel a million butterflies dancing in his stomach, his cheeks turned a light pink. Was this guy really Eddie Munson?

But they are interrupted by the abrupt entry of Dustin and Steve, as always.
"Jesus, you were dead." Dustin runs towards Eddie and hugs him  "Me too, friend. Me too"

"You haven't contacted us?" question Steve
"When I reached the shore I tried to contact you but my walkie-talkie was gone, it was wet. So I did the only thing that seems to succeed. Run"

"Do you have any idea when the attack happened?" Nancy asks him
"Yes, I know exactly what time there was. My walkie-talkie was not the only soup thing." he throw his watch at Nancy fixed on the time the attack happened
"21:27"
"When the torches exploded" Vivien continues
"And what exactly does that mean?" Steve ask her crossing his arms to his chest
"That wave of energy was Vecna attacking Patrick"Vivi explains
"Well, now we know how Vecna attacks."
"Now all we have to do is sneak into his lair and put a stake through his heart," Maxine says
"Easy to say" Vivien chuckles
"Assuming he has a heart," Robin continues
"A stake like a vamp- is a vampire?" Steve asks, it always feels like he's falling out of the clouds
"It's a metaphor." Max explains to him
"A bullet can go, right?" Eddie asks
"I would do everything to him but without access to the upside down I don't know how much we could do to him"
"El has to restore her powers" Max says
"Yes, it was much easier with her. This little girl had superpowers." Steve explains to him
"Superpowers. Yeah, you mentioned that. Henderson's not cursed, is he?"
"No, no, he's fine. Mental? Yes"

"BOOM! Watch out... watch out... boom!"
"Are you sure you're okay?" Vivien asks him
"I was right. Skull rock was north."
"Still? Really? You're 100% wrong. Even now." Steve continues annoyed
"Yes. And no."
"Oh my god" Vivien sighs
"The compass worked coming out of the Wheeler house and even when we got in the car. But the more we went east the more it deflected. And now she's all fucked up, and when I brought you here, I wasn't wrong. Lucas, what does do to a compass?"
"An electromagnetic field."
"So either there's a giant magnet nearby or a portal." speculates Vivien
"But the lab is far from here," Nancy notes
"What if there was, for some reason, another door? One we don't know, smaller and less powerful." Dustin speculates as he makes his way to others

"Where are you going hey hey hey. Eddie is still a wanted man. We can't take a walk in the woods" Steve stops him
"This steel capsule could save both Max and Eddie. Eddie the banished the word to you."
"I say you're asking me to follow you to Mordor, which I think is a bad idea. But the county is burning. So Mordor is."
"What is Mordor?" Steve turns in shock at Vivien shrugging and then Eddie takes her hand.
