Lovers at the Lover's Lake

The guys continue to follow the compass through the woods

"Guys, something is moving, something is happening" Dustin says making his way
"Dustin? Could you slow down" Eddie suggests, in fact Dustin was running

"We are getting closer" Dustin continues, stopping at the shore of a lake
"Hey hey watch where you're going" Vivien pulls him by the sweatshirt because as careless as he is he was ending up in the river
"Oh come on... are you kidding me?" Steve says frustrated
"This forest seemed familiar to me" Eddie replies
"The Lover's Lake" Vivien interrupts
"Is there a portal in Lover's Lake?" Max asks looking at Vivien
"When the Demogorgone attacked, he always left a portal open. Maybe Vecna does the same thing" Vivien supposes
"Well, there's only one way to find out," Steve points to the broken boat where Eddie spent his nights in. The only thing to do is go and check

"Take it easy, man"
"Yes, all right" Eddie replies
First up is Robin, then Eddie and Steve
"M'lady" Eddie smiles and offers support to Vivi to get into the unstable boat
"Oh, what a gentleman."
"Wheeler, a little help?"
Dustin also makes for getting on the boat but it's not a good idea if we all want to stay dry.
"Hey do you want to sink us? Holds four people at most" Eddie says
"You're right, stay here. Compass please?" Vivien continues
"What? That's my theory!"
"The compass." The girl repeats, reaching out to Dustin until he sees the compass
Finally Steve comes with us
"You said four!"
"Sorry!" Steve replies
"At nine in bed kids! I miss you already!" Robin yells at the three guys left on shore waving at them with her hand

The atmosphere is not the best, being in a huge lake late at night. All dark and empty around us and in the middle of the lake a boat and five guys aboard it.
The boys keep rowing when Vivien "Hey slow down guys. Stop, look at the compass" the compass at that point was completely out of whack
"Guys, what's going on? What's going on?" Dustin's voice comes out of the walkie-talkie
"Dustin's compass has gone from being unreliable to being AHHH" Robin replies

"Steve, what are you doing?" Nancy asks him as soon as she sees the boy taking off his shoes and then his t-shirt
"Someone has to go and see. Unless one of you is better than the Hawkins swimming champion and lifeguard certified for three years. I got to go, no complaints, okay?"
"And we needed this striptease. You're always the same" Vivien chuckles
"Who complains, I don't want to go down there" Eddie says and he light a cigarette
"I don't think so." Vivien takes it out of her mouth, "Since when are you so hairy, Steve?" Steve gives her one of his usual Harrington glances. In case you hadn't noticed Vivien loved to bother her best friend
"Good luck" Eddie wishes Steve a torch
"Thank you"
"Steve! Be careful." Nancy recommends him and he nods as he draws a smile.

"Nancy, how long has he been down?" Vivien asks her starting to worry about her friend. He admits that she bothered him most of the time but she truly loves him.
"For almost a minute"
"Mhm."

But suddenly it comes out of the water suddenly
"STEVE! Holy shit!" Vivien yells scared
"JESUS CHRIST" and Eddie too
"I found it, I found it."
"Dustin, you're a fucking Einstein. Steve found the portal!" Robin tells Dustin on the walkie talkie
"It's pretty much the mini format of the main portal, but it's still big..." Steve doesn't finish the sentence that gets swept away again in the water. What the fuck?
"STEVE!" shouting all at the same time
"STEVE! Nancy, what the fuck happened?"
Nancy does not answer but makes to throw herself into the sea to follow Steve.

"No wait!" Eddie stops her
"Wait here you"
"No Nancy, damn it!" she calls her unsuccessfully

Even Robin is preparing to jump
"No no no no, what are you doing? She said to wait here"
"Yes, I heard her."
"She's in charge!"
"Are you kidding? I said a bullshit anyway"

"Eddie we must follow them" Vivien also gets up but is stopped by Eddie's grip
"Please... stay here" he says, "Please."
It was not the time but she felt like doing it, she had waited a long time. The raven-haired girl sighs when she sits down again. Eddie stares at her intensely in her beautiful eyes, and they both slowly draw their foreheads together.

Vivien sighs closing her eyes, resting her right hand on the boy's warm neck
"Viv-"
"Damn it." After a moment of hesitation, Eddie is interrupted by the delicate touch of the girl's lips against his. Kind and soft.
They slowly detached themselves from the kiss with their eyes still closed and lips ajar. At that moment Eddie was like a child, he can not hold back the smile, which had been missing on his lips for a long time. He had never felt like this, his cheeks slightly pink that fortunately due to the darkness was not notable, unable to utter a word for those few seconds.

"Let's go" Vivien invite him to go to the others while she's standing with weak legs.
That's what it was like to kiss each other. They both wanted it so much.
"This girl will drive me crazy" he sighs still in ecstasy and follows her.
