"What the fuck just happened?"

Next day there was no school so Vivien chose to spent all her day at the Mayfileds to be close to her friend Maxine. Vivien knows that Max is still suffering from her brothers death even though it was almost an year ago. She does not deserve at all the pain he has felt and still feels, but unfortunately the worst things always happen to the people who least deserve them.

"Good morning m'am" Vivien graciously greets Max's mother who's doing the laundry.
"Morning Vivien, Maxine is in her room, come in. She would be really happy to se you" Her mom is always very nice although all the bad things she went through like alcohol addiction that she still has, said by Max.

"Yo Maxy!" Vivien called out
"Hey Vivi" Max tured around as she heard her voice and replayed whit a little smile on her face.
Vivien knows that Max wasn't having a good time and the only thing that made her happy was seeing her best friend. Max was relieved seeing her but still something was off

"How are you doing? You know if there's something that you need to tell me or something you're worried about i'm here for you. Come here" Viv said opening her arms ready to hug her friend.
"I-I am actually having nightmares, like...every night. I wake up every night sweating, out of breath. It was Billy, it's always Billy. I see him."
"Oh Max..." Vivien hugged her thigher, she doesn't know how to say to make her feel better, she's never been able to comfort people as they deserved because no one has ever done that to her when she needed to
"Hey, hey Max if you want today we'll stay together 'till tomorrow, we can eat pizza together and sleepover if that makes you feel better" she asked her softly
"I would love to"

The girls spent all day talking about guys, about Lucas and even about Eddie. Max though Vivi's got a crush on the metal head puppy-eyed Munson and it was true.

"Please talk to me about him, what do you find in him?" Maxine lives literally near him and she thinks he's a little weird
"Yeah okay, really Max he's a cinnamon roll inside, maybe he could seem to be freak or a bad influence but he-" Vivien tried to chose the right words "He's sweet, he looks at me in a way nobody ever did and yeah maybe i'm falling for him..."

"OH MY GOD, am i listening these word coming from Vivien Byers' mouth?! You're a fool for him" Max throw a pillow at the girl
"What?"
"Yep TOTALLY!"
"Absolutely not, what makes you think that?"
"Did you listen to yourself?"
"Huh, aren't you kind of hungry as i am? Maybe we should order some food." Vivi gets off the couch and changes the topic, she felt her cheeks light up and becoming of a soft pink, while Max is still on the couch, motionless with her mouth wide open.
"Haven't you hang out for a week or two?"
"Yeah"
"And you've already fallen for this guy"
I roll my eyes, well she's right we've hang out for a short time but i dunno what happened to me

"What else did you two do?"
"He came to my house"
"And?"
"And nothing" Vivi replied showing her the ring Eddie gave her
"He, Eddie Munson, gave you his ring?! I think we're done now."

"I should've recorded the conversation and played it to Eddie 'puppy-eyed' Munson. You called him like that didn't you?"
"You never would have done it Mayfield" Vivi replied while she's dialing the number of the pizzeria
"I think you underestimate me Byers" Max smirked

"Uhm Max, is the phone broken or something? it doesn't work?" Vivien comes back to the living room
"What? Let me see"

Suddenly the light bulb in the kitchen starts turning off.
"Uhm it should be a power trip" Said Max not paying attention, her home is a trailer, these things happen

Then the light bulb in the living room does the same thing and then the tv too.
No, not this again. It can't be. It doesn't have to happen again.
But it stops after a few moments without causing apparently anything.

"What was that?" Vivien asked concerned.
This kind of things happened when her little brother for no reason was kidnapped and brought upside down by a non-human being. That was the absolute worst moment of her entire life, worse than her father's abandonment. And only God knows how long it's gonna take her to fully recover from that trauma.
"I- I don't know" Max replied shocked.
The girls are worried, they walk all over the house to see if anything has happened.
A heartbreaking scream can be heard from outside. Pure fear in that voice. The girls rush to the window, move the curtain and notice a terrified person getting into a car and running away. That mysterious person came out from the van in front of Maxine's.

That's Eddie's van.
That was Eddie Munson
"Eddie..." a confused sigh comes out of Vivien's mouth
"What the fuck just happened-"
