Rylie's POV
I just watch her boredly while she's discussing something in front. It's not that I'm bored with her lesson or the way she teach. It's just because I don't have the energy to listen anymore. Ikaw ba naman walang kinain simula pa dinner? May tinapos pa kasi kong project kagabi sa Principles of Marketing. I don't have anymore time to prepare supper and I'm not fond of delivery foods cause I prefer lutong bahay more. Malas pa dahil tinanghali ako ng gising, and that's the reason why I didn't get to eat breakfast too.
My stomach's grumbling so hard right now.
All I want to do now is eat.
I flinch when Mason suddenly poke my arm. When I look at him, he's signaling me to look in front na agad ko namang ginawa.
Para akong tinakasan ng sariling dugo when I met her piercing stares that automatically sent shivers down my spine.
"I've been calling your name for the third time already, Miss Monteverde. Just tell if you're not interested in listening to our discussion so I can make you leave this classroom freely." Malamig at matigas na saad nya. I swallow the lump on my throat as I get up from my seat and fix my self.
"I-I'm sorry po, Ma'am. W-What were you saying again po?" I ask stammering. I can't even hide how nervous I am right now.
"Come here in front and answer this problem." She ordered full of authority in her voice.
I almost loose my grip to the marker because of how distracted I am to the stares she's giving me, kahit nakatalikod naman ako sa kanya.
I tried to focus on the problem I'm answering. It's a good thing I did an advance reading regarding this topic last week. Mababawasan yung pagkakapahiya ko kay Ma'am.
"Is it correct po?" I ask her as soon as I finish. Hindi naman agad sya nakasagot and just stare at my answers blankly. It feels like she's really analyzing every thing that I wrote.
"Go back to your seat." Was the only thing she said before taking the marker from me.
She never give compliments to her students. You'll only know if you're doing good when you didn't hear her giving side comments. Which is a lot different from when she doesn't like her students behaviour. Grabe ang sakit ng mga binibitawang salita. She treats us like we're rocks who doesn't have feelings whenever she's scolding us.
Nagpatuloy na sya sa pagdidiscuss, and that's when I knew that my answer's correct. I sigh in relief because of that.
"That's all for today. You may go." That's the last thing she said before dismissing.
I continue fixing my things when I suddenly feel a slight ache from my stomach again. Kanina ko pa to nafefeel, but I just ignore it dahil nawawala naman.
I can also feel the cold sweats from my forehead and neck. I heave a long sigh to calm myself. I think my body badly needs to eat and rest.
Damn! This maybe the effect of skipping three meals in a row.
When I turn to face that person, I was shock to see Prof. Carlton who look pissed right now.
