CHAPTER 32

Rylie's POV

"One last practice, everyone." Chantria announced. Umalis kasi ng panandalian si Ma'am dahil bigla syang pinatawag.

She seemed so busy these past few weeks. Marami din kasi syang naiwan na work noong time na nagre-review kami para sa competition.

"Can we have a short break muna? We're all tired na, eh." We all looked at Tina when she suddenly went in front and hug Chantria's arm.

Hindi ko alam kung nagpapaawa ba sya, o way nya lang yun para makalapit kay Chanty.

"Tss, landi." I heard Phoebe whispered cause she's just standing beside me. The way she looks at them, parang pinapatay nya na sila sa tingin.

"What if napuwing ka tapos hindi na bumalik yung mata mo sa dati?" Adelaide suddenly said that made Phoebe look at her.

"What if bigawasan kita, tapos matanggalan ka ng ngipin, tutubo pa kaya ulit ngipin mo?"

"Ate Rylie, oh. Para nagtatanong lang, eh." Sumbong nya naman sakin, which made her friend, roll her eyes at her.

Napatawa na lang ako sa kakulitan nila. I'm already used to them bickering each other. Maninibago ko kung parehas silang tatahimik.

"Alright, let's have a break first. Tutal nandyan na din naman yung pagkain."

"Yown! Kaya mahal kita, Pres.!"

We went to the table where the foods are located. They ordered three boxes of pizza, and bottles of soda.

Medyo naalarma ko dahil pagbukas nila nung box, lahat ng pizza ay merong olives. And Professor Carlton dislike that.

"You hate olives, Ate Rylie?" Adelaide asked when she saw me removing it one by one using that small thing in the middle of the pizza that keeps the lid from touching the cheese.

Oo, kinuha ko talaga yun.

I just nod my head, instead of telling her the truth. "Uhh.. yeah, kinda. Mapait kasi."

"Welcome back, Ma'am! Kain po tayo."

Agad akong napalingon at nakita syang naglalakad palapit samin. When she finally went near the table, I saw how her face contorted in disgust as soon as she saw the toppings.

"Here's your slice with extra pepperoni, extra sauce, extra cheese, extra bell peppers, and extra olives, Ma'am."

"Wag mong tanggapin yan, Ma'am. May halo po yang gayuma!"

"Pabida ka masyado, boi!"

I notice how she hardly swallowed while looking at the pizza. Pano ba naman, yung binibigay sa kanya ni Archie ay yung may pinakamadami pang olives.

If only you knew how much she hates that.

"That's thoughtful of you, Mr. Manzano. But I'm not yet hungry. Just put it there, and I'll eat that later." Tumalikod na sya at tumungo sa sulok kung saan sya madalas umupo sa tuwing break time namin.

As usual, she's in front of her laptop again and eventually starts working.

"Lagi na lang malayo satin si Ma'am. I always want to have a conversation with her." Fina said. She's my fellow club member, and also a club officer.

"Oo nga. It feels like she's distancing herself to us."

"True, lagi lang ngang si Chanty ang may lakas ng loob na kausapin sya, eh. I wonder what their relationship is." One of her friends said too.

"Masyadong mysterious ang ugali ni Ma'am. But don't get me wrong, I find her interesting because of that. Ang akin lang, pwede naman sya sating makisama. We're not that hard to get along with." Usisa din nung isa.
