Rylie's POV

"Puyat ka ba? Ika pito mo na yan." Pansin ni Avery na mukhang nahahawa na sa paghikab ko.

I shook my head and even tap my face continuously to wake myself up. I really don't have much enough sleep last night. Pano ba naman, whenever I close my eyes, her cold yet soft voice lingers in my mind while she said those words. It feels like someone tickles my ears down to my heart and lastly to my stomach.

Dati worms lang ang gumugulo sa tyan ko, ngayon butterflies na. Lumevel up.

Kaya ang ending, I kept on staring at the ceiling last night while a huge smile was imprinted on my lips, like a crazy person.

Parang tanga.

"Don't skip your meals again, Miss Monteverde. Good night."

I stop myself from tapping my face when her words and voice flash on my mind again, as I feel my cheeks heat up a little.

The fact that she came back just to said those makes my heart tumble a million times.

Tangina, I never said flowery words before regarding what I feel for someone cause it really makes me cringe.

But when it comes to my Professor who just showed her concern for me once, made me so damn happy yet confuse.

Happy because I've seen another side of her which makes me more interested. Confuse because of what I feel. She made me question something I never question myself before. Lalo na nung time na hindi ko pa sya nakikilala.

"Ouch! What the hell's your problem again?" Inis kong tanong ng batukan nya na naman ako.

Darn it! Nakakapansin na ko dito. Kahapon pa nya ko sinasaktan. Ipa bantay bata ko to, eh.

Kidding

"Mukha ka na ngang tanga, mas pinapahalata mo pa." Puno ng panlalait nyang saad kaya inirapan ko.

"Wow! Ako pa tanga. At least ako, I can answer the quiz in Microeconomics on my own. Eh ikaw, nanggaya lang kay Zack." I tease her in return, pertaining to our nerdy classmate who turns out to be her seatmate too during that period.

Does she think I didn't notice what she did last time? Her eyes are similar to a chameleon that has a full vision of 360 degrees whenever she's copying her seatmates' answer.

"O-Of course not! I don't know what you're talking about." Saka sya umiwas ng tingin. I smirk because of that.

"Kunwari ka pa. Para ka ngang linta kung makasiksik kay Zack makagaya lang, eh."

Her mood immediately turns sour and even put her hand on her mouth while looking at me in amusement. "Ang kapal naman ng mukha mo, dude! Kung shinishare mo kasi yang brain cells mo, edi sana hindi ako hihingi ng sagot kay Zacharius." I laugh while watching her reaction.

"So you admit that you really copied his answers?" She gasp when she realize what I said then roll her eyes at me.

Actually, Avery is really an intelligent person. Sa totoo nga, she's always been one of the dean's lister ever since first year college. Sadyang may ugali lang talaga sya na kapag wala sya sa mood mag isip, she wouldn't care anymore if it's right or wrong. And sometimes, she'll just rely on her seatmates' answers.

We stop from teasing each other, when Prof. Carlton sophisticatedly enter our classroom.

Hindi ko na naman maiwasan na pagmasdan sya. She looks so damn appealing in her all black outfit. Black V-neck longsleeve blouse, black slacks and black pumps. Her hair's in a high ponytail too. Mas lalong pumuti si Ma'am sa suot nya.
