CHAPTER 8

Rylie's POV

"What the fuck did you bought, Monteverde? Are you a glutton?" I frown after hearing what she said. Ang sakit naman nung glutton. Medyo lang naman, eh.

I look at the foods I'm holding. 3 large boxes of pizza I bought from Domino's, 4 orders of pasta and chicken parmesan, 5 large fries and 4 cups of pink lemonade.

Glutton agad?

"This is for everyone, Ma'am." Sagot ko saka yun nilapag sa mesa.

I grab one box of pizza, and one from every food I bought and motion it towards her. I even order a blueberry crumble sundae only for her.

"I can't finish all of this, Miss Monteverde. I told you, I'm not yet hungry." She said in a serious tone before sliding it back to me.

"Sige na po, Ma'am. I ordered all of that to make you feel better from the incident earlier. Kahit yung sundae lang po kainin nyo." I said as I force a smile at her.

Sa totoo lang, masakit din naman yung lagi nyang nirereject lahat ng ino-offer ko. I saw how the students offer her coffee, flowers, macarons or anything sweet, but she gladly accept it always. Pero pagdating sakin, sapilitan muna ang nangyayari.

I sigh as I shake those unpleasant thoughts away from my head. I can't believe that I'm getting emotional because of her. Maybe this is the result of me being with Avery most of the time. Nagiging OA na din ata ako.

I stop myself from biting the fries when I notice her open the lid of the pizza. But instead of a happy reaction like I'm hoping for, she look at the pizza full of disgust. Hindi sya kumakain? I ordered all toppings cause I have no idea what kind of flavor she wants.

She close the lid again and focus her attention on the sundae.

"You don't eat pizza, Ma'am?" Hindi ko na napigilang itanong.

"I do"

"Bakit hindi po kayo kumakain?" She look at me again with irritation visible on her face. Maybe she's angry because of how I keep on asking her.

"None of your business." She answered coldly. I just pout because of what she said. Ang taray talaga kahit kelan.

Natigil ako sa pagkain when we suddenly got interrupted by the noise brought by Professor Alvarez and Avery.

"That was a good movie, Miss Marquez. I never thought you're a big fan of Marvels." I heard Prof. Alvarez said.

"Opo, Ma'am. Sino po bet nyo sa kanila? Ako po kasi si Thor and Black Widow."

"Ooh! I love him too. Gosh! I wonder what it feels like to touch his abs." Then they shriek after.

Ako yung nahihiya dahil pinagtitinginan na sila dito. When I look at Prof. Carlton, as usual she doesn't care again. She's too busy with her sundae.

"Wow! Ang daming foods. Sino bumili?" Prof. Alvarez ask as soon as she went near us. Hindi pa ko nakakasagot ay tumawa na ito. "Well obviously, it's not Astrid. She won't buy pizza with olives on top." She said still chuckling before taking a bite.

Napatingin naman ako kay Prof. Carlton. So that's the reason why she didn't eat it. Ayaw nya pala sa olives.

Noted. Next time I'll buy her pizza, I'll remember not to order the one with olives in it so she can eat.

"Why do I need to come with you? Do you need a tour guide to get to the dance studio?" Avery ask sarcastically but I just ignore her.

"Come on, Ave. I don't know anyone from them. Buti ka at wala ka namang hiya--Ouch!" I caress my arm when she slap it hard. Tch! Such a sadist.

"Alam mo minsan, gusto ko kayong pag untugin ni Pula. Damn you both for always making fun of me!" Irritation is now visible in her voice that's why I bite my lower lip to stifle my laugh. Ang bilis talagang mapikon.
