Rylie's POV

"Don't ever think about skipping your meals again."

I feel my heart skip a beat as she said those last words before leaving her office.

Naalala kong yung din ang mga salitang binitawan nya noong dinala ko sa clinic. That was also the time where I started to get confuse with my feelings towards her.

"Don't skip your meals again, Miss Monteverde. Good night."

Naramdaman ko ang pag init ng pisngi dahil sa naalala. Those were the exact words she said that night.

"Well, that's odd." I heard Chanty said, kaya napatingin ako sa kanya.

"Ang alin?"

"Astrid, being concern towards others."

"Maybe because I'm her student and it's her obligation to take care of me." I smile bitterly.

Yeah, that's right. It's all about her duty as my Professor.

"I don't think so. I've known her for so long and this is the first time I saw her looking after someone again, ever since Vanessa.." She paused, looking surprise with what she just said. Pagkatapos ay taranta syang tumayo dala ang kanyang bag. "I-I remember, A-Astrid might kill me if s-she still see me h-here. I-I'll see you later, sugar."

Dali daling dumiretso papunta sa pinto. But before she could open it ay agad ko syang pinigilan.

"What is it? You didn't hear me mention any names, right? Of course, you didn't. Please tell me you won't say anything to Astrid." Sunod sunod nyang sambit at mukhang kinakabahan pa.

I shake my head, even though she really mentioned someone named, Vanessa.

Napansin ko namang napahinga sya ng maluwag. "I-I just want to ask you something." And I hope you don't get suspicious by it. "W-What's your relationship with Professor Carlton?"

'Damn, I shouldn't have ask that.' sigaw ng isipan ko.

I saw how her lips form into a playful smirk before leaning forward towards me, dahilan para mapaatras ako ng konti. "And why are you interested, sugarplum?" She ask using her seductive tone.

Napasimangot na lang ako. I sigh before turning my back at her. "Forget it." Dapat pala hindi na lang talaga ko nagtanong.

I heard her laugh as I felt her arm around my shoulder. "Astrid and I, we have a very special connection with each other." She whispered through my ear.

I already knew that. Pero hindi maiwasang bumibigat ang pakiramdam ko sa oras na naririnig ko yan. It feels like I got always slap by the fact na wala akong kalaban laban kay Chanty.

Hinarap ko naman sya, but I instantly regret it cause I didn't notice that her face is near mine. Dahilan para magtama na ang mga ilong namin.

"You should stop flirting with me, then. Baka kung ano pang isipin ni Ma'am." Saka ako lumayo sa kanya. I even remove her arms to free myself.

"I'm pretty sure she wouldn't mind. Besides, don't you think it's better that she already have an idea of what her future cousin-in-law's like?"

"Repeat, from the top!" Everyone groan and sigh with what she said. I could even hear how some of them silently uttered their protest.

Yes, silently, cause they know that if Professor Carlton will hear them, they'll be in huge trouble.

Speaking of that Professor of mine, until now I still don't have a chance to talk to her regarding my confession. Masyado na kasi silang naging busy dahil sa papalapit na Intramurals. Pati nga si Ave ay bihira ko na lang makita dahil kailangan niyang tumulong bilang officer ng Student Council.
